It can only be good news.

*shrugs*

I'm not too worried about it either way, but I know many of you have armies of alts all over ;)

Level 6 is pretty low, I woulda thought Level 10 would be the cut off.

I would even go so far as lvl 15. you can hit lvl 6 in 2 hours if you work hard.

lvl 10 if you have a good group is easily hit in 2 hours.

I missed the level qualification when I read the bulletin hero-side, if it was mentioned.  I thought it applied to any character of any level and was more an issue of account inactivity.

I agree, 6 is pretty low.  A night or two of hard playing can get that far.  Most of my alts are at least that.

Two nights of hard playing gets you to 6?

That explains a lot...

That might work if people don't like alts. Between heroes and villains I have about 70 characters. Only about a dozen are 15 or higher (though many are getting close). They all get played, some more than others. If the rest of my characters were deleted because they weren't 15 or above, that would end the game permanently for me.

I think 6 is a good mark. Maybe 8.

I can probably level a Blaster, Scrapper, or Tanker to 6 in a single night over about 4 hours of play, give or take an hour.  Considering that I normally solo those levels, that most of my alts are either Controllers or Defenders, and I tend to play conservatively, then yeah, two nights.  I never claimed to be a Power Gamer.

Oh, and just because I know you're thinking it:   :P

:D

Don't forget, this only applies to inactive accounts.  If you kept your subscription current, all of your characters would be safe indefinitely whether they got played or not.

If you're worried about it you could always quit for two months, re-up for a month, quit for two months, etc.

But 70 characters?  And I thought I had alt-itis.

True. It hit me because I'm going inactive for a while.

As to number of alts: There is actually madness to my method. On one server, I only run with my wife (the Justice or "Just Us" server  :) ); on another one, we team with my brother and a friend; another is a solo server; and so forth. We have multiple teams because we love creating new characters/stories, and do this to ensure we never outlevel each other and bust up teams.
