Outcast

Ok guys. Everyone of us who has played  :ff: or  :ffvstr: really enjoyed being able to do our own original custom heroes/villains. I think it would be interesting if we could all see what each and every one of us were able to come up with. That very one original character you can be most proud of. Complete with name,stats,attributes, powers,and any other details you may wish to add. Say for example an origin. But if you guys aren't into details a general description would do. I think it would be interesting to see how original we can be, or see if our ideas closely resemble others. What do you think guys? ^_^ Just thought, it would be a nice thread to add. Of course, i am not sure if this kind of topic has already been posted before. :P

My favorite original character is always the one I'm working on right now!

And at the moment I'm working on the Hoodoo Man, a fun little character I started on right after FFVTR came out and only now am getting back to. He's a voodoo-based villain using the Black Talon hex and skin by SfoMark (based on the Ocean Master mesh by wingzero.)

His normal powers are nothing special. He has a (pretty anemic) melee attack and a Hex projectile attack. He can also levitate.

What makes him fun are his FFX attributes. He has Summoner Grade 2, which he uses to summon zombies. He can also summon chicken bombs. Chicken bombs are just what you'd think they are: exploding chickens. All the chicken bombs can do is walk towards a hero, then blow themselves to smitheens.

But what really makes the Hoodoo Man special is his customized Frostbite attribute. Instead of radiating cold damage every few seconds, he radiates Tombstone's Dancing Dead power ... meaning that every few seconds he ressurrects any dead zombies or chicken bombs that have fallen near him.

The longer you fight, the more zombies you defeat, the bigger the Hoodoo Man's army gets! (Of course the smart thing to do is to ignore the zombies at the start and take out the Hoodoo Man first.)

Probably Phantasm from the Metal Storm mod. (tho this version and the upcomign version in the mod are a bit different for balance reasons).

I like him because he is versatile without being overwhelming.  You can whip just about anyone, but not by simply wading in and punching away (well actually some guys you can beat that way!!)

Not to retype his entire background from the website, I'll sum up.  Robert Chan was the son of a US naval officer and a Japanese civilian worker at the US Naval base at Okinawa.  From a young age he exhibited strange abilities that he kept secret from everyone as much as possible.  His younger brother Mihn found out however and the the two used Bobby's powers to cause mischief and clown around.  Bobby was able to project illusions through sheer force of will, complete with sound.  He could also use the power to make himself and others invisible as he wished.  When he grew older, he fell in with the Yakuza as a teen and began to work as a 'special agent' for them utilizing his special powers.  He crossed paths with a MI-5 operator in China eventually and she convinced him that we was working for the wrong people.  Bobby eventually returned with her to the UK and was accepted into MI-5's elite special forces - Metal Storm.  Adopting the codename Mirage, he served with the team for several years.

Eventually he learned that his brother had fallen in with the Yazuka back in Japan and went to try to remove his brother from the organization.  He instead discovered that Mihn had been used as a test subject in a Yakuza experiment turning him into the monstrous Wolfwere.  Bobby defeated his brother in battle after failing to reason with him, but Minh escaped.  Bobby then annihilated most of his former Yakuza colleagues in retribution for what had been done and returned to Metal Storm.

Some years later, Bobby was captured by the forces of Reich Four after being nearly killed in combat.  Large portions of his body were repaired cybernetically and the R4 telepath Napoleon used his powers to amplify Bobby's illusion abilities.  As a result, Bobby can now form solid constructs as well as illusions and all of his projections have sound, smell and even taste to them.

Bobby was eventually rescued by Metal Storm and adopted the new codename 'Phantasm' to reflect his altered abilities.

Phantasm has some pretty damn tough summons and a pretty high energy stat, so he can really dish it out.  His kung fu is tough enough to spank most non armored/ non super strength types and his razor projectiles do nice damage too.

I like to share the very first hero file i created for  :ff:

At the time,I was not yet aware of the various skins and meshes available for download, so I had to work with the skins/mesh initially provided in the game.And I chose the one that appealed to me the best,the male_belt mesh.

I wanted to base his powers based on the look of his costume. Having a visor, similar to that of Cyclops,I gave him an Energy Blast from the eyes. (Yeah i know,no originality at all.. :P) Then he had this target or bullseye logo on the back of his costume. So i thought, he could have some enhanced senses to make him quite a marksman. And since the bullseye also seemed to make me dizzy just by looking at it. I thought....if he had enhanced senses, why not the ability to control the senses of his enemies. Thus was born...Sensor. :lol:

Here are that stats I made for him.

     There is this one hero file that I really like. I tried to put in as much thought into balance, and when I take her into the danger room, she can be just as easily the gal on top as she can be the first to wipe out; it's all in her you use her.
