Do You Have An "Uber?"

The Hitman

Sometimes, I like to make herofiles that both accurately depict characters to the best of FF's capabilities, and make them level out so each character has a fighting chance to win, if logically possible...

And sometimes I just like to stomp legions of heroes with my might fit of power..ness.

For times like this, I have my Uber, more specificaly- Mr. Don Knotts. I'll post a couple of pics soon, as well as a herofile, but for now, I'm curious- does anyone else have similar herofiles?

Carravaggio

Do you even have to ask? :D
Me.
The Conqueror, the Tyrant Star, The Celestial Emperor; Carravaggio
The only thing my hero file can't beat is Galactus.
I think his cost was around 500k from memory (could be wrong), and he is ridiculously powerful, on par with Superman and other top tier characters.

YoungHeros

My avatar will be "Uber" too ^_^

Xenolith

I'm the opposite way.  I take uber characters and find ways to make them weaker.

"Hmm, could Mr. Terriffic beat up Superman?"

Kommando

For sheer firepower I had about a 30k Lobo that I would use when I just wanted to unwind.  In FFV3R he works great with the Supercollider voice.  Loads of fun before the compy died.  I doubt I'll reinstall FF again, but it was a good run.

Podmark

I never actually made the hero file, but my original character Void was virtually indestructible and very very uber.

AfghanAnt

I once made a character called Mother Hyperion (she was the bad guy when Afghan Ant was still called Hyperion, the Hyper-Man). I could never beat her in-game...ever.

BentonGrey

Darkseid...yep, 'ol crag face is ridiculously powerful, and the entire League can fight him and lose.  If I want to unwind, I usually pull him out and stomp on some heroes.  Although, I do occasionally take a 60 ft. tall Giganta on a rampage through the city as well.

Blitzgott

No, I don't.

All my mainstream characters (I don't really make originals because I'm short in imagination) are as "uber" as they should be, in my conception. As a matter of fact, I find it ridiculously unnecessary, and I don't mean to offend anybody, to make 50k+, 100k+, or even more expensive hero files. From personal experience, all my characters, even the likes of Hulk, Thor, Supes, Sentry, Darkseid and others never had to go past 30k-level. In fact, most didn't even reach around 25k, and I believe they play very, very similary to how they should. The battles aren't very long, since I don't abuse passive defenses like some of you fellows, but aren't too short either, for I give them plenty of endurance plus invulnerable and/or physical resistance.

Oh. And, as a matter of fact, something I like about my hero files is the variety of powers they have. Guys like Hulk and Wonder Man who generally have around three powers (an "uber" melee that costs nothing; an "uber-uber" melee that costs some energy and a passive defense or something) can be given a bigger arsenal without becoming extremely cheap (power-wise) or expensive (prestige point cost-wise) because I save points by neglecting the "uber" passive defenses. This variety on the offensive department makes the fights much more interesting to watch.

I, unfortunately, lost all my hero file database some time ago, but I remember that my Savage Hulk, with all powers on level 3, cost just under 23k, and he played very much like I wanted and how I think he should play. I think he was like this:

ST:    8
SP:    6
AGI:   2
END: 10
ENE:  5

Berserker
Jumper
Fast Healing
Level Headed
Hulk (Invulnerable (15), Physical Resistance, Grim Resolve, Super-Leaper)

I do believe I did make one. I wanted to try using a character who had a perfect 10 on all of his stats. Then i just made his material type stone and gave him some strong attributes like density control, tough guy and shrugg it off. As for his powers, he was able to generate area attacks of different kinds of energy. Well, most of his area attacks are focused on the different weaknesses of the FF villains, like acid, radiation, heat, and energy. Of course, added just 1 melee attack, if i every felt like giving a good wallop. :P

Usually, I only use him when i'm trying to give my regular heroes a really big, difficult challenge like hordes of villains to defeat. He is there to act as a backup. Just in case, the challenge becomes too much. He is there to save the day and clean up. Making short work of the villains. ^_^ What can i say? I hate losing.

Edit: But i don't think he is really that uber though. He doesn't have any passive defenses and no range attacks. He will be defenseless against those with powerful range attacks. And he  only costs around 30,000 cp. I think a really strong villain like Darkseid could easily defeat him.

I dont need no stinking uber. When I was going to host that hero file tournament I saw attrocities that came in under 9 k. In particular a character who could clone himself, had regenerative and direct attacks. One of my design would magnetize foes, bounce around between magnetized objects (he was made of metal) and detonate after every so many impacts. Once he got going he would often level a block before landing on the other side of the city.

As far as expensive characters goes I'm in the more conservative school a la USAgent. The next step up is TaskmasterX and then the Carvaggios and Wickermen of this world. Honestly I think you can get more done without the big invulnerabilities and giving everyone 300% attacks and it still takes a roster of pretty much all the X-Men to take down juggernaut in an AI battle.

Excuse me if this is a dumb question, but can someone tell me how to set up an AI battle in  :ff:?
