A new trailer and something better

In one bit of news, the trailer for Underdog the movie has been release.  So far, it's about the least impressive trailer I've ever seen.  It's trying to parody Superman, and doing so very, very badly.  But see for yourselves.

In much better, but totally unrelated, news, Amanda Tapping, who plays on Stargate SG-1 is starring in an internet-only series called Sanctuary.  It sounds pretty cool, as she investigates supernatural and sci-fi creatures, and runs a Sanctuary where werewolves, vampires, and other creatures are protected from the outside world.  I'll be watching for this one.

Looks pretty cool to me.  It's also another notable step in the predicted merger of TV and the internet.

On Underdog: That was awful.  The parody of the Superman trailers was okay, but the dog saluting was weak and the following scene... Underdog is supposed to speak in dogeral, that's part of the gag.  This "I'm not much of a cat person" garbage is completely unimaginitive and the throw him into a police car thing was overkill.  Yuck Yuck Yuck.

On Sanctuary: Now THIS has me intrigued.  I wonder if it's going to be like CDX, a great video based point & click game by the BBC that played like a well done interactive movie.    Gonna have to keep track of this one.
