Is is crazy to buy a Playstation 2 just for God of War/God of War 2?

A used PS2 is pretty cheap and you have acccess to TONS of good games at reduced prices, so you'll never be hurting for a library.  I'd say if you can afford it, go for it.

Personally I would go for it now that the PS2 is cheap. I would try out the game first though to see if you like it, from what I understand you've only seen it and not played it yourself. And as Glitch Girl points out, there's a whole bunch of great games out there for low prices so you can't go wrong there.

I may or may not buy a PS2 so I can play Justice League Heroes.  However, I did buy spider-man 2 and then go out and buy a Gamecube so I can play it a couple of years ago, so go figure.  Then I bought every Star Wars game I could find for that platform as well as X-men Legends (for which I bought solely for multiplayability along with 4 controllers).  Then again, Ms Kommando and I bought a second computer so we could play NWN PWs.  Then we recently spent about $1100 more to upgrade the first computer so we could both play Second Life.

I won't even mention how we bought a laser printer so I could print RPG Pdfs I buy online :P

No, it is not crazy to buy a ps2 just for God of war/god of war II.

It would be crazy to buy a ps2 and NOT get them however, as they are some of the best ps2 geames out there.

I also reccomend the Prince of Persia series (similiar to God of War - less combat, more puzzles, less blood), and of course Guitar Hero I and II.
