So the 3d Gods have decided to annoy the 'ell out of me by dropping a free version of Bryce 5 into my lap...so the other day I kicked into gear to see what I can do...and lo and behold this is what happened.

What it si or what I'm going to do with it...or if it's even finished...well 'ell if I know!

Ummm...I don't know....'ave ye picked up the latest 3dWorld mag...I think it will be the Feburary issue...it has a tutorial for Bryce 5.0 (as well as a free Bryce 5.0 prog) that teaches ye the basics.  That might 'elp ye.

That might explain why I decided to make it...cause I had been watching Planet of the Apes earlier that day...hmmm....

This is actually something that goes with a larger piece but it probably wouldn't be showed on the finished pic...mainly cause it's so small compared to the larger piece.

Not bad.  I really like that construct at the begining. As for the cup... I noticed your title says "Cup of Blood" but the contents look more wine-like than blood like.  Possibly lowering the transparency and adda bit of red to the reflection will help.  Also, I'd suggest using a texture map instead of a proceedural on the eyeball: Bryce procedurals are nice to a degree, but to make a realistic looking eyeball is gonna take a lotta mixing.  Thsi displacement on the ground seems a little heavy as well - the cup would wobble like crazy on a surface that rough.  Of course I don't know the whole context of the image so it may work.  Good luck with Bryce.  The interface can be a real bear to deal with sometimes, but those who master it can do some amazing things.

Hey..thanks GG.  I'll go back and rework it so it looks better.  I do agree, though, Bryce's interface is a true thrall at times....really hate selecting items at times when there are gobs of stuff already on the screen...rrrr....
