Okay, so its a bit corny, but I wanted to make a thank you post.

This isn't about the community as a whole (although it is a fantastic community all right and has evolved well beyond the game it was founded on).  No I wanted to make this in particular for the content makers for this game.  The sheer volume and quality of stuff made for FF (skins, meshes, hexes, FX, maps, voicepacks, scripts, mods, etc) is nothing short of astonishing.  I've always felt this to be the case, but over the past year or so I've played some other games that to varying degrees are moddable and with communities springing up around this fact.  However I've found NOTHING that COMES NEAR what you folks do.

It's always nice to see new stuff being made, whether its by an old-stager, a returning veteran or a newcomer.  Thank you all for the countless ways you've improved this game!

Amen to that. This community has always impressed me, but I am in awe of the creative folks here, not just for their ability, but for their sheer generosity in making all this cool stuff available. I can't contribute to the content - my talents lie in other directions - but I can let you guys know how much I appreciate all your hard work.

I actually feel a tinge of internal pain each time I go to the requests board and see ones that I know I don't have the time to fill...

On the other hand, a lot of the time I'm all "I've seen that before! Here's a link!" You're absolutely right about the sheer amount of volume Freedom Force has gotten content wise, and I add thanks to every dang person who ever did anything for it. Heck, who just support it.

A hearty "Amen" to the original post. I've just come back to the community after being away for a while, and I'm amazed to see the great work everyone has been doing on this "old" game.

Remember waaaaay back when FF1 first came out?

People said there weren't enough custom meshes and skins. Now there are thousands.

People said there weren't enough powers ... and then Dr. Mike and the FFX crew added hundreds more.

People said it was impossible to mix and match pieces of different meshes ... now thanks to NifSkope and all the existing meshes you can do just that.

People said it was incredibly difficult to make mods ... now with EZScript it's, well, EZ.

Thanks to everyone in the community who helped make the impossible possible!

Hey I want to thank this community also Phantom this is the only one I know of that keeps things rolling! We have times when the community goes down but it keeps on rolling when it comes back again. And every one is so kind and giving  here even when it sometimes looks like we are not apreciative, :( we truely do love this FR community!!! :thumbup: :wub: :thumbup: :wub: :thumbup:

Thanks for making such great stuff, guys. This game truely has a greater experience with custom made stuff, and you guys made (just about) everything.

I  have lurked amongst you guys for almost a year(between this site and Four Color Explosion when this one was down). What an amazing array of talented people you are. I have observed your endless generosity and eagerness to assist others, time and time again. I too, have downloaded countless meses, skins, mods, etc. and by doing so it has enhanced my enjoyment of FFVSTTR. This is THE most upgradable and ever-enjoyable game that I personally know of. As a long time comic book reader, I couldn't ask for a bettergame or a nicer bunch of people than you guys. What an extremely adept group of people. Hats off!!!

Without wanting to repeat anyone ... this is the best comic book game available due to the high-quality of the custom content and the inventiveness/receptiveness of the online community. The meshes and skins are just amazing ... look at Timm Superman by Volsung or Captain America by Renegade. They could be part of DC or Marvel licensed video game, so high is their standard.

Personally, the game has also renewed my interest in comics a bit. If I see a funky new C6 skin for some character named Sentry, I generally want to find out what thats all about.
