As I've said elsewhere, I have maybe 1500 comics left, and I need to store them for a while until I can start selling them off. It may be a while, so I'm thinking about putting them in poly bags, with boards, and into short boxes.

I wonder, though, where I can find these things for as cheap as possible. I know where I can find 10 short boxes for $17 ($30 with shipping) (http://www.tcbulk.com/scripts/prodview.asp?idproduct=148). Bags and boards are more of a trouble.

But I dunno. Should I bother putting them in bags and boards if they're only going to be sold? I guess I could just bag and board them as they're sold. And what would I do with 10 short boxes when they're empty? Grr!

Anyway, where do you find the least expensive supplies? I'll be ordering them online, since buying them at the comic shop is really pricey.

Arlecchino

The big thing to ask yourself is are your going to get much for the comincs you have to sell? What era are your remaining comics from? Are they big selling titles? I think it might be more worth your while to do a little cost research by checking the prices in an Overstreet guide and then look in a couple of comic shops and see what they are going for.
It has been my experience that unless its rare Bronze Age stuff or Sliver Age stuff you arent going to get much for comics because of the heavy print runs. If you have older stuff or stuff that will fetch a nice price then I would bag/board them. Or just do the highest priced ones. If you dont have pricey comics on your hands then they should be fine in the short boxes. It sounds like you arent storing them for a long time (years) so they should be fine in acid free short boxes.
I dont bag and board ANY of my comics except for the ones that are worth alot and I have seen no damage or breakdown of them at all.
If you find you still are looking for bags and boards check my local comic shop. They might be able to work a deal.
