How did Isis die when she has unearthly protection against disease and toxins according to this? http://www.angelfire.com/mi2/dcuniverse/isis.html
I guess Pestilence was too much for even her unearthly abilities to handle.
Your first question should be how reliable is that site. When was it said in a DC comic that she had protection against disease and toxins? I don't know, I didn't follow 52 that closely.

Well, I believe it to be that of all of the Marvels. They are just naturally immune to normal poisons and toxins. However, Pestilence was made for doing that one trick. Probably a little bit more powerful.

I guess Pestilence's toxin powers are at the class 3000 mark.

Or maybe Waid, Rucka, Morrison, and Johns didn't realise that they're obligated to write characters so they match character write-ups done by fans, done for the Other Guys' game system.

Isis' power though from the same source were different and thereby left her vulnerable while Black Marvel was immune to the attack that and you are getting your info from a fansite.

You also have to remember how long Isis was exposed to Sobek (aka Yurrd the Unknown). She was exposed to him for about eighteen weeks or so. During that time Sobek was slowly poisoning both Isis and the land.
