Hey, just found the most interesting web site and thought you guys might find it intriguing or at least entertaining on how super powers might conceivably work:  http://www.zaksite.co.uk/lockjaw/physics_examples.htm

The bloke that wrote it also wrote the physics content of the Handbook of the Invincible Universe that came out a while ago (made in the likeness of the now classic old Handbook of the Marvel Universe).  Interesting stuff.
