ffx3 - looking commands?

I have an option that says "open looking commands" on every player controlled hero that opens an option called "tv" that apparently goes to a camera position behind an enemy? For example, on the first mission if i click on alchemiss i can click on open looking commands then tv and i see behind two thugs from a second person view.

Is this the way it should be? I see no purpose for it or why alchemiss of all people would have it so im kind of confounded by it.

It's for setting up AI vs AI battles in the Rumble Room.  It probably shouldn't be showing up in the campaign, though.
