Howdy guys, I finally got my copy of photoshop back from my friend, loaded it up, and after doing a little work on a couple of portraits, went to mess with the interface screens.  Imagine my surprise when Photoshop, which I thought could do just about EVERYTHING won't open .DDS files.  What the heck!  What do I need to be able to edit them?  If there isn't anything available, can anyone tell me what dimensions the main interface screen and comic screens need to be?

the simple thing to do is just to convert the dds files into tga using a dds converter (there's quite a few and IG included a link to a dds converter in their help files) and edit from there. Then you can just convert you newly edited tgas back into the dds format.

Also, there's plugins for photoshop to open dds, but I recommend the conversion method more.

Thanks Prev.....I should have thought of that.

Get the plugin, it's easy and fast Just type photoshop dds plugin into google.

There's indeed a plugin (not only the complicated Nvidia Texture Tools) but if you can't find it, PM me and I'll send it to you.

Thanks guys, I'm finally making progress!  If I actually get the hang of this, we might just see customized loading screens and the like for the DCUG!
