How do you balance their hero files with superheroes like Superman or Spider-man.  In my mind Superman should be able to demolish a transformer pretty quickly,  but what about Wolverine,  he's at the point right now when he could take on a sentinel by himself,  doe that mean that Voltron would get his butt handed to him by the midget pig-sticker?

DM, it's funny but I've been thinking about this very thing...that is supers vs. mechs.  I've done rumbles with various supers vs. the Sentinels (i.e. X-men).  And actually, the sentinels hold their own for awhile.  But eventually they do go down.

Hmmmm as to the question of Wolverine vs. a mech???  That's an interesting thought.  Well, obviously a good sized mech like a Gundam is MUCH bigger and powerful than Wolvie.

I remember years ago playing a RPG called Mekton (which was a very simple and fanciful game) that simulated Mech combat.  Mech damage was dealt out in "kills".  A missile might do 4 kills and a stomp might do 3 kills or something like that.  The point is, if a mech even stomped near puny humans...there was a good chance they would die (let alone if they stomped on a human).

Now for all of wolvie's regenerative abilities and adamantium skeleton...I don't think he could endure a stomp, or a giant ion-sword slash, etc.  The advantage for Wolvie would be probably be in that he is smaller and harder to hit!  And, indeed his claws could start rending into the mech...but that would take time.  Sure they can go through the mech's armor like a hot knife through butter...but how long are his claws compared to the mech's armor?

In game terms, the mech should have attributes like "armored", "crack shot" and "danger sense", their body material type should be "metal", and even moderate levels of invulnerability might be useful, they should have low "speed", and especially important have a very high endurance!   With that kind of make up, even Supes might have a hand full in dealing with a mech.

Then again, I tend to power Supes and other ultra-mega-powerful characters down abit to maintain more balance in the game.

good points.  i usually round down other uber characters too, for game balance...  but some of that stats on these mechs,  and the utter size of them... geez i don't know... i guess i'll give them high levels of invulnerability,  so even a 300 point hit from Hulk will slow them down but not utterly destroy them...

im just wondering if anyone with a "system" of making hero files like Taskmaster X, USAgent or Alex have factored in big mechs into their equations.  i'm guess Transformers would be the best first step,  since they have the most interaction with humans.  and are even in a few marvel crossovers (has anyone read the transformers/ new avengers?)
