I've got another problem with FFX 2.5, for some reason I'm not aware of FFX Control doesn't seem to find any attack in the specific column of the page of the characters I sent to DAT. This is obviously a serious nuisance when you're trying to give these characters an effect swapping attack. You got any idea what could be the solution ?

Sounds like you neglected to either run the power ID generator, run the Control Centre after putting them in .dat, or both.

Well, you're already running the CC, since you're problem is that it is missing something. But, cat is right that if you send-to-DATs with the CC already open, you probably have to quit and restart in order to get it to see the new powers.

Also, double check that the CC is set for the right mod and that you sent the DATs to the right mod in EZ Hero. E.g., open FFEdit to that mod and make sure the character and new powers are there.

BTW, I don't recall that there was a Power ID Generator danger room mode for the first game...

Sorry, I missed the fact that he was talking about  :ff:

Stumpy's right, the Power ID generator was not necessary for the first game.

Well, it's very likely that CC was open when I sent to DAT those files but I've already restarted it many times and the result it's always the same. As for the mod, I'm not using any, I sent the hero files directly to the game original DAT; CC finds these character files together with all the others the game has, their attributes can be normally set, but when you go to the attack swapping section the third column is totally blank and there's no way to make it see them. I also tried to look if the reason was to be found within FFedit but with no results; I'm rather out of ideas...

Previsionary

here's an idea:

Try moving or renaming the original hero files and see if the third column shows up then.

stumpy

Good call, Previsionary. That's likely the problem. When the built-in characters have the same names as the customs, confusion often ensues.

BTW punisher357, for purposes of things like where to install things and the mod paths in FFEdit, the FFX Control Centre, and similar tools, the original campaign is a mod. The Data mod is special in certain ways, but it's included when people talk about choosing the folder for this or that mod and so on.
