Well, the subject says it all. Let me know if any help is needed and I'll try my best! Also, be sure to check-out the readme for the long list of people whose work the mod depends upon... whether they know it or not (almost entirely 'not' as of now  :P).

Here's the link to the goods again: http://hosted.filefront.com/mremustard

Have fun!

Heyas Mustard,

I played 3 or so levels of the mod and here's my thoughts (keeping in mind that you're new to the modding field [I'm assuming]):

Quote1. Some of the dialogue felt very out of character to me, but I'm basing that on what I know of Batman/Super and not necessarily the story the mod is based on so that may be me.

2. The batman levels are a little too dark especially since there's a lack of street lamps.

3. there seems to be some head nifs missing. I want to say it was thug related.

4. The killing of the cops on supes level progressed the mission...was that intentional?

5. Is robin suppose to be faster than Bats? That was just sorta odd to me.

6.
QuoteHero Gets Item Cutscene:
camera on batman
batman says, "I must return this to its owner."
<---this cutscene played twice for some reason

7.there's some slight grammatical issues that you might wanna look over if you do plan on re-uploading this mod.

But overall, it was pretty good. I found it to be a bit too easy for my tastes, but I'm sure others will find it fun. A bit of personal oddness I experienced was that some of the herofiles reminded me of several versions of mine that I used in some mods, but your read me says they were based on alex's files...*shrugs* Maybe we all think too similar...or someone's a clone.

Having recently bought FFvTR, I was thrilled to see all the great fan content available and grabbed as much as I could. Feeling a little guilty about getting so much for nothin', I've thrown together a 7 mission campain for  :ffvstr: featuring Batman and Superman!
Christian guilt is such a wonderful thing! ;)

Thanks!

I couldn't get the mod to run at all. I'll try it again later.

Previsionary-

Thanks for the feedback! It is indeed my first FF mod, though I've got a bit of experience from designing NWN modules (feel free to check out me, mremustard, at the Neverwinter Vault where at least one of mine is still hosted).

1. Yeah, it's tough to do a definitive Bat/Supes... 60 years of comics, movies, TV shows, novels, and games generate a lot of variations. So, I wrote them how I see them, more or less, and with lots of help from the fairly recent Superman/Batman comic. I just hope that Superman is noble and compassionate,  that Batman is intelligent and driven, and that the two of them together have a love/hate relationship (love each other as heroes, hate at times the other's methods/motives).

2. I might've gone overboard on the lighting. As long as its not affecting gameplay (i.e., you can't see a villain well enough to click on) or completely obscuring textures, the darker the better for Gotham.

3. Yeah, I think I forgot to give thug_with_grenade a head (can't verify here, my game machine is miles away from my internet access :P). The silly template name was too long to create an animate_portrait resource for. I suspect that I put off the tedious tasks of editing scripts and copying templates/characters for so long that I finally forgot about it.

4. Errr... yes? Yes, it is intentional. Sometimes, even Supes has a bad day.

5. I've always liked Frank Miller's depiction of Bats as a large, heavy man. I think of Bats as a linebacker. Powerful and quick when he needs to be, but he'll never be able to run down a wide reciever (Robin).

6. Yeah, I gave up on trying to fix that one... I figured it wasn't a game crashing issue and dropped it. I'll take another stab at it though.

7. I noticed a couple of typos last night (finally got me girlfriend to play it, making it public finally broke her will). As far as grammar goes, I'm fairly confident it works as dialogue/monologue even if it'd get a D in Mrs. Stevens's English class (damn that crazy old coot). If there are serious violations, I'd be happy to fix them but I'm afraid I'm blind to them.

Well, I believe I've played all your mods, so they definitely influenced my thinking on hero files (thanks!). But, when actually sitting down and designing them, I make one from scratch and then compare it directly to Alex's file on that hero/villain. It was particularly helpful for some villains I knew jack about so I felt obligated to give a shout-out. Actually, now that I think about it, I bet my batman is a lot like yours (I really liked that mod).

Yeah, its powerful stuff... that reminds me, I've got some lashing to do for my sins. :o

Sorry to hear that! Wish I could help... maybe double check the directory the files are in? I often unzip files into a directory like c:/freedomforce/ModFiles/ModFiles when I really want them in c:/freedomforce/ModFiles.

Thanks for responding to my comments, heh. My issue with number 4 was odd because the cops died (but i wasnt done fighting the baddies) and the game just moved on, so I didn't know if it was intentional or not...or perhaps it was a game hiccup, Ahunno,

Also, thanks for the comment about my largely unfinished Bat mod. Kinda shocked me since I'm not a bat fan and I wasnt largely dedicated to that particular mod.

Oh, that's definitely wasn't my intention! Thanks for the heads-up.
