Help paste wings on a mesh

OK so I decided to make me my own mesh for a character I made a while back, but didn't have appropriate mesh for.
I am trying to take the wings of a mesh and paste them on another character.
When I try to paste the block it won't do it and keeps saying it can't find a Nod to create a link, but that doesn't make sence as both meshes are based on male_basic.
Suggestions on how to make it work?

First of all I must say I'm not very good at this, so take these words as general tips more than a tutorial. I do the following but have in mind that I do it for ffv3r meshes.

For these things I use Tommyboy's tom_versatile mesh, that you can find in his website:
http://tommyboymeshes.freedomforceforever.com
(btw, amazing work)
If you're using ffv3r you'll first have to convert the mesh (EZNifConvert).

Open it in nifskope.
After that, you'll see lots of diferent hidden things that you can show/hide. Show the wings you like. Then select the whole branch and copy it. Open in nifskope your male_basic mesh in which you want to paste them. Paste the branch you've copied in the same node. Repeat it for the other wing.

Remeber to copy the skins files needed to your male_basic folder too.

That works for me.

Thanks I'll try that. Really good tip. Didn't know about pre-created parts like that.
EDIT: Thanks, that worked just fine. Only that the wings are not moving with the keyframes the mesh originally uses. Ill try to work something out, but still thanks :P Very, very much.

OK, now! Since the original keyframes were not suited for winged character the wings aren't moving along with the mesh. I mean I don't want them to simulate moving, but now only a part of them moves while the other part is staying still.
My question is: how do I make the entire wings mesh connected together so that it will move like an entire piece (along with the upper body) and not require new keyframes.
EDIT: I looked at the character again and I think I need to make the nods into one whole big nod. That should force the wings to move along as one big piece, right?

I think so, ensure you've pasted it the right node.

For the keyframes, you can try with M25 tool to transfer keyframes between compatible meshes.

You'd probably be better off skoping parts onto the winged mesh, as opposed to the other way around.
