Mowgli

This is a re-imagining of Iron Man for a draw off at another site. I liked the idea of him becoming a lumbering steampunk robot. Enjoy!

And the eccentric inventor... Thadeus Kensington Starkweather!

Very cool Mowg. Looks quite different from your usual style. It suits you.

Love the details, shadows and the different line weight. BTW that pic of Thadeus is a hoot.

Dr.Volt

NICE work there!  I love reimaginings of iconic characters.

vamp

Wow. That is pretty awesome

Mowgli

Dr. Volt and vamp: Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback!

MJB: Yeah, I feel much more free when designing something from complete imagination. I need to bring that into my other drawings and not get so caught up in styles, realism and detail. This was just fun to draw, and I think that shows. Good observation.

I hope Zer0, which I am working on now, captures more of this feeling.  :)

Cardmaster

As a severe steampunk enthusiast, this gets my utmost approval. The only things that would give me pause aesthetically speaking from a steampunker perspective are the large "discs" on his shoulders and finger joints... they're the only thing that doesn't really fit. They say more cyberpunk to me... other than that, an EXCELLENT design and, as usual, BEAUTIFULLY drawn. You make me want to sit in the corner and cry over my own pathetic steampunk drawings. :P

Out of curiosity, had you seen this image before?
Steampunk Iron Man from Marvel Adventures #8

Glitch Girl

Any chance of seeing these inked?  I'm really liking what I'm seeing, but am dying to see it with some nice strong blacks.  And gotta say, nonrealistic works real well here.

Alaric

Heh... Now I want to see an entire comic of this!
