After seeing all the marvel movies theyve put out over the years some good some great some that started good and went flat, got me to wonder if there are any plans to make a big budget marvel movie with crossovers like we see in the comics, like secret wars ,infinity gauntlet. bring togeather x-men avengers,f4,spider-man hulk etc vs. all the baddies .im sure the budget would be huge considering the big name actors they would have to get. i thought the animated ultimate avengers wasnt too crappy mabye they could do it that way but more in the style of how they did beowulf.mabye im just crazy and asking too much from the movie industry

An Avengers movie is already slated for 2010 or 2011.

Marvel is actively trying to buy back the rights of Spidey and the Fantastic Four from Sony and Fox for that very purpose.

As our Potatoey friend has stated above, they are indeed wanting massive crossovers to culminate in an Avengers movie. Nick Fury in Iron Man, Iron Man in Hulk, Who knows who in the Thor movie, etc.

i am wagering on the nature of the
Iron Man/Tony Stark cameo in The Incredible Hulk and betting that it will be similar to the Nick Fury one in Iron Man.
FOX has already planned numberous spin-offs from their X-Men franchise... "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" is pushing hard for a 2009 summer release but there are numberous rumors in the Hollywood grapevine that it's screenplay is already on it's 8th rewrite even as the filming is starting and budget issues on FX are already pushing the cost up. "X-Men Origins: Magneto" has signed McKellen on for the adult Magneto and Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier with plans of them using that CGI youth process towards the end of the film to show more of the duo working together before they went their seperate ways.

Hopefully Marvel Productions can buy back the rights from FOX before any more mutant movies will be planned...
