Beyond Good & Evil 2...FINALLY!

today, Ubisoft essentially has officially announced the long awaited sequel to the fantastic underplayed game Beyond Good & Evil.

This game was one of my absolute favorites of last generation, but hardly anyone bothered to play it due it releasing at a terrible time of the year: November. An unheard of title should NEVER go up against the juggernauts of the gaming world that are always released during that month. But I digress. The game sold so poorly it marked down to 20 dollars within a few weeks, but still the money never raked in. Almost everyone I know who's played the game absolutely loves it. Critics hailed it. But due to pisspoor sales, a sequel was practically impossible.

and now after 5 years, a sequel is basically announced. I am so very excited and hope that it's cross platform. If they'd now only announce a Legacy of Kain sequel I'd be one very, very happy and excited gamer. A BG&E sequel is practically a miracle in the gaming industry. I'm still shocked.

If you haven't played the first game, you should. It's on all platforms. Don't judge it by the new trailer either, as it's really only impressive visually, not contextually. In fact, what happens in the trailer is really pretty stupid, but it does what it was made for: announce the long awaited sequel. Now I need to replay the first one. It's been so long :D

I rented it and got hooked pretty much immediately.  Played it non stop for a week till I was done.
