Hi, i downloaded a mesh for the kree soldier and it works fine in character tool, but in game the meshes separate from the main body and kinda float making things very weird .

My question is if its possible to fix this and how?

:ffvstr:

Thank you. :)

The_Baroness

something similar happened to me with sentinels, and parademons... try setting the shadow to blob... that fixed it for me

Its a long known often irritating bug with certain video cards.
As Baroness said setting shadows to blob (or in some cases off altogether) should work.

Tommyboy figured out a way to fix this on some meshes using nifskope:

Thanks for the pointers, i turned off shadows and now i get a black guy inside my mesh lol, i´ll try the tut by Tommy.

Thanks again .

I'm guessing you're using more than one of them at the same time which leads to ghosting if the mesh doesn't have a skin partition.  I found a way that has worked for me but I'm not sure if it works for others. Anyways, open the mesh in nifskope and click on the main body. Right click, select Mesh>>>Make Skin Partition. Leave number of bones per vertex at 4 and change number of bones per partition to 4. Click Pad Small Partitions, then OK. Test it in game with full shadows and hopefully it works.

Yes, my tutorial and fix was made before the skinpartition spell thingie was added to nifskope, so hopefully it will be easier to fix meshes with the newer versions of nifskope.

sorry to jack the thread, but, I tried NomadX's fix and wound up with....that's right floating mesh parts.

I tried it with/without "stripify triangles" but to no avail.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

When i right click mesh i don´t see the option make skinpartition, i have the latest version of Nifscope.

Anyway i tried the tut from tommy and it still happens, for this not to happen in game i have to turn off all shadows from characters and map.

Thanks for help so far. ;)

Hmm, maybe the solution just worked for my video card (which is an oddity). Can anyone post a link to a mesh that has this problem in FFvTTR so I can mess around with it?
