Billy Batson and the Magic of Shazam!

I know, I know, I'm biased. Captain Marvel is one of my favorite, if not outright favorite, comicbook characters. But his potential hasn't always  been reached since DC got ahold of him 35 years ago (although I loved Ordways' Power of Shazam).

That said, the 1st issue of Billy Batson and the Magic of Shazam came out today and Holey Moley! This is probably the most enjoyable thing I've read this year! Mike Kunkel picks up Jeff Smith's version and improves mightily upon it. I can't recommend this book more. I even bought 2 copies: one for me and one for my kids.
