I suddenly feel like Previsionary...

Most requests (skins, meshes etc...) should go in the Requests section (there are several Iron Man skins floating around -- try doing a search)

All manner of basic questions (like installing skins) can be answered on the wiki:

I don't believe anyone has meshed Iron Man for years. ;)

What I believe you are seeking is a mesh+skin and not simply a skin (unless you are looking for DDS file versions of skins that use TGA files).  You can download tommyboy's Iron Man meshes, for instance, and then run them through a NIF converter such as EZNIF Converter so that FF1 meshes can be used in FFvTTR.  Then place the converted mesh into the following path: "C:\Documents and Settings\[yourusername]\Local Settings\Application Data\Irrational Games\Freedom Force vs the 3rd Reich\Custom\Characters."  I believe that is the correct path for the U.S. version of FFvTTR.  If you are using a different version, I believe it may have a different custom content path.

to ow: i placed in that place the character file, but i cant see it in-game

Did you convert the mesh to FFvTTR?  Did you create a hero file for the character and assign the Iron Man mesh to it?  Are you using the U.S. version of FFvTTR?

how do i do that? except that, i did everything else (yes, i'm a noob at it. give me a discount, for that i got the game just yesterday)

Run the game and select the "characters" section.
Then select the button to create a new Character.
If the mesh has been installed properly, it should show up in the list of available meshes to create your new character. Select the Iron Man mesh and then go about assigning all your stats and powers etc...

Join the above yahoo group and you will find a file with an extremely large selection of hero files. Among which are hero files for Iron Man.

the point is, i can't install it. look, i'm posting a copy of my actual "Custom" folder zipped. i ask for someone to download, put ANY skin on it (just tell me where it is) and send to me. then i will learn how to do it, after testing the skin on my game of course. here is the link, is a small file, just 9 MB:http://rapidshare.com/files/133182198/Custom.rar.html

Well, you actually have to put a mesh in the Iron man folder, which you havent done.
Look at the other folders in 'characters'. see the files in there? in the 'nocapeman' folder? See 'character.nif'? 'skins' directory?
You need to unzip the files you download into the characters folder so their file structure resembles the files already in there.
Put the character.nif file you have into the iron man directory, along with a keyframes.kf file, and a skins folder, all of which are supplied with my meshes usually. Then you should see it in game.
So in Iron Man you should have
'character.nif'
'keyframes.kf'
'Skins' directory containing 'standard' directory containing various files called things like 'male_basic.tga'
