How would I go about setting up FF1 on Windows Vista? And please don't say, "Virtual Machine," because that's not gonna work. Thanks guys!

Hmmm I can't help you much, for me it didn't require any "setting up" :s . I  just installed it as you would any other game, then vista notified me that I must download some certain Starforce drivers, which I did. Then the game worked fine.

Hitman, you might want to check the Technical Issues forum. In addition to the stickied thread on Vista, several people have posted threads in the past few months on getting FF up and running under that OS. A search for vista in that forum might be useful, too. At the very least, it should be encouraging that people have it running and have mods running under it.

Also, it might be important which version of Vista you are running (32 bit vs. 64 bit) and if you are trying to install as an admin, for one user or all users, etc. Sorry for not having more specific help, but I am not running Vista myself.

Thanks guys, I'll try that. The Ladyfriend found an old used copy somewhere, and wanted a little advice installing it, and since I refuse to load Vista on my machine, I figured I'd check to see if there were any special hoops I needed to jump through.
