Ok, to any out there that own a Wii, can ya help a brudda out in finding some good multiplayer games?

I've only got one controller for now, and my wife happily enjoys playing Wii Sports, and wouldn't mind more games to play.

Suggestions? Comments? Lude remarks?

Sounds like you're looking for more "phased multiplayer" like Wii Bowling... I can't think of any offhand other than some random minigames from Rayman.

One thing my roomie and I did that was fun was that we played Trauma Center as a doctor and nurse team. In that game you perform surgery with the remote and select tools with the nunchuk, so we'd stand side-by-side and he'd call out for tools, which I'd hand to him. It added an interesting extra level of challenge, because you're relying on someone else to perform very quick tool changes to avoid jamming up your workflow.

Wasn't an ideal setup (we gave up after a couple surgeries), but it was pretty fun while it lasted.

Guess I'm gonna hafta troll around farther away video stores, see what I can find.

Thanks for the suggestion, Spud.

And for the lude remark. *points at your avatar*

There really isn't much on the mutiplayer side yet. The potential of the Wii has barely been scratched and the really cool games are basically being developed now. I think WarioWare has a multiplayer aspect, as does Super Swing Golf. WiiPlay has multiplayer, but unless you need a new remote (Wiiplay comes with one) then don't bother. For an extra $10 over the cost of the remote it's not bad, but as a standalone single player or multiplayer set of games it's pretty weak. The Wiiplay games are things that  frankly, Nintendo should just make as downloadable games.
