Quasar (SPOILERS for Annilation 6)

[spoiler]So Annilation 6 has apparently been leaked and the result is very interesting to me. One week after the return of one Vell it looks like another will be getting some spotlight. Sources say that Phyla gains the quantum bands (thats in addition to her nega bands :blink: ) and will become the new Quasar, presumably starring in the upcoming Quasar mini.

I'm a fan of all things from PAD's CM series so I love that Phyla is getting some spotlight, but I really miss Wendell...and Genis. They should really bring him back as a supporting character for the new CM series, give us a father/son relationship that we rarely see in comics.

Literally just read this issue, I feel it all concluded very abruptly, they could have done a little more with it, but otherwise quite awesome, I loved the whole annihilation series.
[spoiler]there's a few scenes thet genuinely sent a shiver down my spine, especially thanos...
on the Quasar note, i'd of preferred Wendell to somehow return, tho I suppose we should give phyla a chance[/spoiler]

Yeah I agree about Wendell, I'm really going to miss him. I wasn't picking up any of the Annilation series (tho I later picked up the Nova mini and I loved it). When I heard that Quasar died, especially the way that he died, my jaw literally dropped. It's not like the New Warriors where there were rumours and hints way before, with Quasar it just seemed to come out of nowhere.

heh, 2 out of 4 of the mini series werent worth it, tho nova was great, and superskrull was the best of the lot, loved how they wrote him, ronan and silver surfer were both a let down

Ok, is it possible that Phyla has the nega bands? Didn't the newly brought back Mar-vell just get them when he appeared?

Anybody remember the Guardians of the Galaxy that had the Silver Surfer in possession of the Quantum Bands?

In order to understand Phyla you have to understand the non-understandable means of her creation. Phyla never actually existed. Back when Genis was crazy and ALL-POWERFUL he accidentally opened a spacetime continum and brought Phyla into this universe and SEMI-integrated her into this universe. Caused all kinds of problems with Genis's cosmic awareness when they first met.

So Phyla has her own nega bands. And hers are silver. Also Genis absorbed the real nega bands then Zemo split him into a zillion pieces and sent him all over the multiverse. But he's not actually dead.

So in short - I have no clue who's nega bands those are. :wacko:

isnt captain marvel wearing the same bands he had before he was sucked into the negative zone? I just presumed he took them off after arriving?

[edit] yup just checked the comic, he's wearing them when he arrives
