just an interesting anecdote;  i don't log in very much, but the first time i logged in a couple of month's ago, it was after about a year without logging in.
first thing that happens is a civilian comes running up to me, telling me thank you for saving him.  i'm just picturing this guy, hanging around the same area for an entire year, just so he could thank me.
