I just spent the last 48 hours of my life in utter agony.  Suffice it to say that that is the last time I order a mango smoothie from that establishment.  Sheesh!

Of course, I am glad 'twas food poisoning and not a stomach virus, for I would hate to infect the baby with that dreck.

So my question is how many times did Prem kill me in my sleep whilst I was away?

Okay, I see what your mistake was...  Two words...

"Mango Smoothie"

And they say raw fruit is supposed to be good for you...

But seriously, sorry to hear about it and glad you're getting better.

BlueBard

Also, it occurs to me...

...did you stop to think whether it was Prem in disguise behind the counter?  You never can tell...

tommyboy

I hope you recover quickly OW.
Food poisoning can be nasty.

The Phantom Eyebrow

Ouch.  I've had the odd dose in my days and it is sure rough.  Keep drinking plenty of fluids (I know, what else would you drink?  Not any more smoothies for a while at least) and you'll be back to fighting fitness in no time.

Spam

Dudedzorz, that must've really sucked... Glad your feelin' better.

Alaric

Ug. Glad you're feeling better.

Food poisoning's pretty common, actually. Not very pleasant, though.

When I was in high school, I got a case of food poisoning that was so bad, I wished it had been fatal at the time. Last time I ever ate an Old El Paso microwave burrito, because I'm absolutely sure that's what caused it.

(When you end up with two black eyes from it, you know its bad!)

crimsonquill

Oy! I can relate to Food Poisoning... Too many times has that happened to me.

And it's usually from resurants or fast food joints that slip on the quality control just a little bit...

Hope you feel much better soon.

As we all recount our stories of food poisoning I highly encourge you to pay attention to the ratio caused by publicly prepared and/or preprepared "food" to that caused by fresh, home made food.  There is a price to be paid for convience . . .

I am reminded of a time I had some off Chef Boyardee Ravioli . . .

I hope you're feeling better soon!

Glitch Girl

Yuuuuck. Not fun at all (visions of the Taco Bell incident come to mind) but glad you're feeling better at least.

lugaru

That is horrible... I hate food poisoning.

Something that works for me is to drink SUPER cold chocolate milk, it kind of numbs and soothes my stomache enough to hold something down and get a little nourishment.

USAgent

Ug, Im glad your over that mess.  I feel your pain all over again....I mistakenly ate some (alot) of cocktail shrimp that had been sitting out all night, and needless to it felt like liquid death was coming out every orifice of my body!

...but I do like those mango smoothies.....
