can someone recommend a good cheap website hosting?  for big files.

i'd say, total, 1 gig worth.
maybe needs a good bandwidth for downloads.  as for the cheap, as little as i can pay!  but i do want it to be accessable, so ppl can just click and download, so no free hosting, i'm sure.
i'm hoping to get something up tonight for download.

The ToyBox is up on http://www.mysitespace.com/, a place HouseQuake recommended. I haven't had any problems related to the hosting and they have a variety of inexpensive plans.

I'm on www.webhostinbuzz.com and haven't had any problems. I've got 5gb of storage and 100gb of transfer for like seven bucks a month.

Google's googlepages.com is also a really good host if you don't mind using site templates. You can add your own graphics and text, though. They give you a ton of space and bandwidth per month, too.

Oh, and its free.

i very much hope you meant www.webhostingbuzz.com, cause i went ahead and paid some money to them.  i then spent an hour trying to open the site beardedinlair.com with an ftp, but it wouldn't accept a password.
then i noticed whbuzz says i'm pending.  how long must i pend?  i would really like to get the mod up tonight, but tomorrow will do, i suppose.
if someone would like to help me out, i'd be happy to post all my info here.

If memory serves, it took them about a day to get my stuff activated, and another day for the DNS to catch up.

and i've used ftp to upload a file, but the direct link for it doesn't work.  anyone have any idea why?
a direct link to a random picture i uploaded does work:

(pay no attention to the image, just a test image.)

The website link is working perfectly now.

It sometimes takes an hour or so to get updated.
