yep I did!k

I have a quick question.
Do you get a third power pool? Atm lunarman can take powers from Broadsword and Defense (and inherent but everyone gets those). He's also supposed to shoot weak lasers. Or at least have some pitiful ranged potential. Does something like this become avaible. The problem is, most of the chars I think-up are versitile. For example: melee and area attacks, melee flying and weak ranged.
Also, what is the secondary mutation thing mutants get later on?

Thankyou

Lunarman

Yes and no. You don't get another power set like your current priamry and secondary sets. However, starting at level 6, you can take smaller 'power pool" sets, which include travel power sets (though you won't be able to take a real travel power until level 14) like Flight and Teleportation, as well as skill-type sets, like Leadership and Medicine. Also, once you reach level 41, you can select a special kind of power pool that alows you to do things not otehrwise available to your AT. You'll also pick up some long-lasting temporary powers as you play.

To some extent, you just have to live with your character not being able to do everything you want him to do, though.

Not quite sure what you're referring to here, exactly.  The only "special" power that mutants get (which is not all that special) is something called "mutagen", which you should already have.  It's a ranged attack that is very weak and has a small secondary effect.  All origins get an inherent power similar to this at the very beginning, and you can't even slot it up to increase its power.

You got "Lunarman"?

I am utterly astounded that this name was available.  The Force is truly with you, padawan!  :D

Yes, I beleive some of the single origin enhancements for mutant characters are called Secondary Mutations. They don't give you new powers, they just enhance aspects of already-existing powers.

Lunar, you can get laser-beam eyes.....but not until level 44. From the Body Mastery epic power pool set, and you have to take a different power from that same pool at lvl 41 to get access to the laser eyes at 44. I believe they're short range and fairly weak.

What is with the infernal aversion to easily accessible laser eyes?  When I'm in charge it'll be Laser Eyes for all!

EDIT - Oh, and cloaks too.

They've got good range and damage. Good for popping runners.

Thankyou everyone.

Ok, character screenshots then. I'll be sure to take some and post 'em here and in da thread :). It's a great game and I'm loving it. Now, if you'll excuse my I've got to go and visit Ms Liberty.

El Condor

I really liked how you created him.  Lunarman is totally recognizable, but his look is massaged very much in the way a "New" or "Ultimate" comic series would change a hero's costume.  Bravo!

Also, I think you will like the broadsword set.  The attacks come a little slowly at first, but you will see big damage once you get a nice attack chain powered up.

Nice costume! I think he could use a set of small, riveted shoulder pads, but other than that it totally looks like your avatar. The broadsword set seems like a good fit, too.

Awesome!

You can get eyebeams at the very start... if you're willing to run a */Rad Defender.  True, they're green and they're not lasers.

Waiting to lvl 44 sounds great to me though. It makes sense to show Lunarman's powers developing over time rather than starting all at once.

You do realize at lvl 30 you get a quest from the Icon folks, upon completing you get a nifty eye glow or what ever else you like to glow.

Broadsword's an awesome damage set.

Did you take super reflexes? At a certian point you get quickness, and inherent power that not only increases your running speed but your attack rate as well, making the Broadsword swing almost tolerable.

gdaybloke

For the record, once you have a toon at lvl 50 you can make Peacebringers, who also have an eye zap... but no sword.

PBs are also bright and shiny, which suits LM's powers.
