Galactus and DC

So, if the big purple machine came to Metropolis, do you think they could stay his wrath? I don't wanna hear any "Supes is way stronger than Thor" stories either. Assume that the heavy hitters in Dc have their equals in Marvel. I assume there could be only a handful of heroes that could match the surfers might.

I truley think that, with all J'onn has been through physically, spiritually, and psycologically, he's the only DC hero that would stand a chance against Galactus. Not physically, of couse. Big Purple'd wipe the floor with him. I think MM could telepatically make contact with Gally WITHOUT going nuts and show him that there is true potential for the creatures on Earth and convince him to look for food elsewhere.

Surfer, on the other hand, would take a combined effort of Green Lanterns Gardner, Stewert, and Jordan, plus Firestorm, as long as Prof. Stein was his "mental sidekick," Captain Atom, and The Ray. Gardner and Stewert would try to contain him, Cap and Ray absorbing any energy beams, Firestorm would "fix" any transmuted objects, and Jordan on attack, or, in this case, pacification.

And where's Supes in all of this? Simple. Surfer shows up before Galactus. Supes charges in solo on the Surfer, like an idiot. Mediocre battle ensews. Surfer discovers that sunlight charges up Supes, and leeches the light from his cells. Or Surfer transmutes kryptonite by accident. I dunno. Point is, Superman goes down early, before Galactus even shows up.

I've thought about this a little. Can you tell?

Read Crisis on Infinite Earths and replace the Anti-Monitor with Galactacus ... it'd go down in a similar fashion.

I would love to take this one to the rumble room. Btw the ray or guy gardner would make great heralds of galactus...

I used to run that on the original FF all the time. I would put him, Terrax and Morg vs at least 15 JLA. The Big G almost always won. Summoner, Invul (the high one), and Mutation do a number.
