I'm trying to make a Ultimate X-Men version of Storm in  :ff:, and I'm having a bit of trouble. I've doing versions of the X-Men as they go along through time (60's Cyclops, Jean Grey in the gold team, etc.), and started with the classic Storm and increased the # of powers with each version. The best version is that of her from the 90's (with IPS keyframes), and it looks like this:

      strength: 3
      speed: 4
      agility: 5
      endurance: 4
      energy: 7

      Weather Control
      Flier
      Temperature Control
      Charged
      Megablast (lightning beam)

tempest strike (fast 4 hit melee, low damage)
elemental resistance (passive, inactively blocks cold, heat, and electricity occasionally)
lightning blast (very fast lightning beam, med. range, damage & kb)
tornado winds (slow explosive projectile crushing attack w/ high upwards kb)
raging storm   (fast electricity melee, extreme kb to compensate for strength)
blinding fog   (large very high blinding area w/ stun)
snow storm   (large cold area, low stun)
circling winds   (active defence, same as Bullet's w/ med. duration)
rushing gale   (large crushing area, low damage and high kb)
lightning fury (large electricity area, very high damage & stun, med. kb)

Can I even make the ultimate version better than THAT?!

thats a pretty good hero file already,   im not too familiar with the ultimate universe, but i was under the impression that they were kind of scaled down a bit power-wise, because they were younger and inexperienced.  you could add a freezing attack.

my Storm hero file is usually a medium-damage controller type, using lots of knockback, stunning and altered states attacks (blind, freeze).  theres already a number of good blaster-type damage dealers on the x-men,  so i like my storm and jean to be able to float above the battle and manipulate things.
but of course, to each their own :)

No, actually that's good. Why have so many blasters? Just let the ranged and melee attackers handle the opposition while some act out support roles. Thanks.

Not sure where I heard this, but I think Storm could make it rain acid but didn't do so often. So...what about a Acid Burn area attack? Could that work?

Previsionary

I really dont think storm can create acid rain. She can only manipulate naturally occurring events (which means she's altering an area elsewhere to create the specific weather effect). Acid rain isn't usually natural.

Ultimate storm is a powered down "beginning"/modern version of storm. She's still learning how to control her powers and she specializes in electric based attacks. Basically, storm is usually the same across all universes except for maybe the "what if..." universe where she fused with the phoenix (IE: her powers became cosmic based and she could manipulate things on a much wider scale).

Without posting the actual file my storm is a big annoyer more than a blaster. She does have one devastating bolt of lightning (knocked superman out of the air once in the rumble room) and some minor zaps but mostly she blows characters around with wind and slows them down with cold. I skip weather control for my AI version since weather control is big on enviromental damage and small on accuracy.

That makes sense Lugaru, about Weather Control not being accurate.  I consider it for dramatic effect - Storm spots a foe, and the skies grow dark as lightning falls around them... but it does tend to devestate the battlefield  :P

I like to pump up the damage on her lightning attacks, and the rest of her arsenal is to scatter and confuse.  The team already has Iceman to deal out freezing and cold damge, so I keep the blizzrard to mostly mental blank damage (signifying the confusion from being caught in it, and the effect sudden, extreme cold can have on motor skills)

Whirlwinds are great when set to 'chained' and 'homing', so it appears like Storm is commanding the wind to batter successive foes.  At higher experience levels, I like to give her impact spawning whirlwinds or multiple spawning.. the whole screen fills up with em
