Gents, I have Renegade's Superman and Grenadier's Batman and they don't take damage and make damage at all when I get to play them. :(

I have EZFX 6.0 and FFX 3.2 installed.
I used EZNifConvertv20 to convert them for  :ffvstr:
I ran FFX Control Centre and press saved Ren's Superman and Batman to complete the 'branding' process and known to the FFX system.

But still, they don't take damage.

Any help pls?

Thanks in advance,
Indigo ^_^

Guys, am I the only unlucky bastard experiencing this with Ren's meshes? :(

the_ultimate_evil

ummm ren didnt do a batman

aslo this sounds like a hero file rather than a mesh problem

tommyboy

No, if a mesh has no bounding box or sometimes no selection box then the game engine cannot "interact" with it correctly, and it cannot "collide" with other "objects", leading to no hit/no being hit.
A look in NifSkope might reveal if this is the case, assuming you know what to look for (ie compare to a working mesh).
Alternatively, use other meshes, its not like there arent several choices for bats and supes.

More like hasn't released one yet.  ;)

As for Indigo's problem, I'm not sure I understand. Are you talking about two separate meshes or the Composite Superman mesh?

People who have made Batman Meshes:
Me: Batman_tvlite
BeardedinLair: AWBatman, DarkKnight
Ink
YellowLantern
Grenadier (TM derived batman meshes, of which there are various)
And probably others too.
As far as I know, all of these work correctly.
It may not be the meshes at all.

Here's one possibility:

If you "published the character to the Data files", and still have an IDENTICALLY named character in your character library as a *.hero file, it can cause problems such as you describe.

My bad, the Batman mesh I was referring was made by Grenadier.

Renegade! Glad to see you here in my thread!

No, not the Composite Superman (I wish I had the mesh though), only the Superman mesh. :(  Can you check this out pls?

Hmmm, well, I wouldn't really say "Superman Kal El", "Superman Returns", "Superman" kinda identical...or is it?

detourne_me

i don't understand how they cannot take damage.  did you make hero files for the characters?

USAgent

Did you give them a very high "invunerable" attribute?  Do the other characters that are attacking them actually cause damage with their attacks? As in are their attacks set up to cause damage?   I must say this is a strange question.

Indigo

*sigh*

I still don't get it, but when I uninstalled FFX, Ren's Superman worked ok and started taking damage when I faced off 3 Glacial Giants unlike before.

Anyhoot, thanks guys, Ren's Superman and Gren's Batman is ok, just kinda sad I have to remove FFX.  I really love the "buddies" thingie. :(

Hmm seems its an FFX problem then. Did you try reinstalling it? If it still doesn't work you should ask in the modding forum, they might be able to figure it out.

Epimethee

Weird. Please do repost it in the Mods forum's "FFX 3.2 bugs reporting" thread, Indigo. And do you mean that the bug happens in normal (non FFX) FFvsTTR unless you uninstall? This shouldn't happen, as FFX only impact the game when you launch it with its dedicated shortcut (except for the startup plugins, but these shouldn't impact anything here).

Did you convert these hero files?
