He wasn't a comic book hero or a film hero and maybe many of us aren't opera fans, but i still feel bad about this loss.  I loved listening to Pavaroti and most of it was his presence and charisma.   I'll miss him.

El Condor

There was no voice like his. You could have a stage filled with the absolute top tenors in the world, but once he started singing you immediately knew why he was considered the best.   His talent and presence will be truly missed.

Arriverderci, Pavarotti.  You shall be missed.

Tortuga

What I know about Pavaroti comes from John Candy's spot-on impersonation of him from the early 80s comedy show "SCTV".  He was a great character, mostly because the real Pavaroti had so much personality.

Glitch Girl

He was truly one of opera's great showmen.  Since my mom loved opera (me, not so much) I probably heard him more than most people my age.  He had a very distict and pure sound in his prime.  He will be missed.
