Was wondering why in my  :ffvstr: CTOOL2 some of the  .tga's are not showing up specifically the male_basic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Wuts up with that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( :( :(

GogglesPizanno

Are they Pink? White? Transparent?

If its pink, then it's probably a memory issue (I have that one)
If it's white, usually means that you are missing a glow or reflection texture.
If it's transparent...thats a ghost...SPOOKY!

I thought pink was missing textures and white with a big 'X' meant there was no standard skin.

In-Game I think thats right.
In CTOOL pink can happen when your video card starts losing memory (in addition to missing textures).

This is an example of what I'm seeing!

And before you say it yes I have a male_basic, refl, glow, and lightmap tga in the file.

Tomato

Err... wow, I haven't seen that glitch before. It's obviously reading something, because it's not pink, but it's not reading the appropriate file(or reading the wrong part of that file).

Could you possibly post a screen of what the Editiblemesh->Nitextureproperty tab looks like in Nifskope, as well as a list of the filenames with exact capitalization (such as male_basic.TGA)? It might be having a problem with the name or something. If nothing else, try re-downloading Ctool 2 and install a fresh copy, in case yours was corrupted.

I'm grasping at straws here, but you never know when some minor info might solve the problem.

It kinda looks like the Material settings for that mesh have been set to black.
As long as you are poking around in Nifskope, you might look at the color values for the material properties.

Actually, it resembles what I see in 3ds max when an omni light on a mesh without a lightmap causes the mesh to be cast in shadow.  Is the lightmap NiTextureEffect node (under the mesh's NiNode) attached to the base mesh?  Is the NiSourceTexture using the same lightmap that you have included?

O.k. Thanks everyone I figured out my problem in Ctool.

But now my in game screen looks like this!

Anyone know whats wrong!

GogglesPizanno

Wow....
That looks like a video card issue.
I realize this is a dumb obvious question, but did you recently change or update drivers/cards?

Reepicheep

well...

at least the portrait still works...

This reminds me of an issue I was having the first time I attempted to play City of Heroes... And if I recall correctly, the reason I was having trouble was eithor because my video card was outdated or some issue with the driver. So yeah, a repete of Goggle's question: Did you recently change anything, or are you running on outdated software?

AfghanAnt

Either the vid card is dying or you should undo whatever updates to the video card you made.

GGiant

I just got this problem a minute or two ago.
I just quit and then played again and everything is fine.
