Tombstone  kinda reminds me of Ghost Rider and the Punisher rolled into one

1. Minuteman-C'mon, that voice...*swoon*
2. Tombstone-Skull guns that shoot lightning bullets!?! thats the greatest concept ever!
3. Mentor-Cortical Suppression FTW!
4. Man Bot-he's big, he's slow, he cant hit the broad side of a barn, yet Alchemiss is all over him, whatta man!

Lunarman

Hard question.....

Tombstone ( his voice annoys me, but he's so good!)
Microwave (Radiation is so handy, and Microwave is just cool anyway)
Liberty Lad (Underused chars FTW!!!)
Mentor (I can do a pretty good impression of him!)

She's not actually very useful in the game, but Sea Urchin has all the best dialogue. That scene in  :ffvstr: where she talks smack to Time Master is the greatest thing ever.

I love Tombstone's look, voice, and origin, but I never felt he fit into the bright and shiny Silver Age FF. He felt more like a Golden Age character, like the Specter (I betcha Tombstone was originally supposed to be part of the WWII crew until they decided those characters shouldn't have Energy X powers.) I still used Tombstone all the time, mind you, because he was crazy overpowered--Possession in particular.

My favorite FFVTR character who did fit into the story was Black Jack. It was great to play a pulp-style character that wasn't "superpowered." His stage-cockney dialogue could have used some work, particularly "Queen and country" line ... obviously no one at Irrational had heard of George VI.

My favorite FF character was the Ant. He combined a lot of the things I loved about Silver Age comics into one package: Peter Parker's attitude, Antman's powers (no, really, I am an Antman fan), the villain who turns out to be a hero, and the whole "lost world under the city streets" setup.

Ok here i come my favourites are:
1: Tombstone :tombstone:
2: El Diablo :eldiablo:
3: Man Bot :manbot:
4: Sky King

And that's all

i gotta say while i found El Diablo to be invaluable while playing the game, I dont actually like him much, i guess its the Green Arrow factor, sleazy guys bug me.
But between his flight and high knockback hellfire grenades, he was a keeper almost all the way through.
Then he learned ignition, and he was indispensible.

I never really saw him as a sleazy character.
Like all the characters I just saw him as a funny caricature (plus it gave me an idea for a MOD where each level was El Diablo trying to get to a date on time and getting sidetracked by some villain)

But at the same time, I kind of get your point. While I had no dislike of the character, I never really had any love for him other the usefulness he brought to a level.

Quotegreen genie. barbara eden in um green... that's a total recipe for success!

We are still talking about the game right?

I agree that GG is one of my favorite additions to the original cast. She has decent dialog and a very creative power set that is loads of fun to play. I especially like teleport swap. Coupled with her speed as a flier, it's a great way to move the slow-pokes around the map.
Also, in the Blitzkrieg mission where you have to go through twice, I had Green Genie and Tombstone on the squad. Using his teleport power and her swap, I was able to get the whole squad safe outside the doors and then just pick off Blitzkrieg's baddies at my leisure with the static zap and by possessing the characters inside the room. Actually, that's sort of cheating and not fun to do more than once (or twice...), but it was pretty cool when I realized I could do it.
Ohh man, Manowar all the way......and that was before I became a real Aquaman fan...weird isn't it?  I suppose growing up on the coast gave me a love for water based characters.

Other big favorites were the Ant and The Bard.  In fact, my prize Liberty Bay creation was inspired by the Bard.  The Rogue!

Nick Craft for teh win!  ^_^

If pressed to supply a serious answer, I would offer the troubled Alchemiss of FFvTTR, Red Oktober, and Pan.  I can appreciate Stephen Russell's voice work on Pan, but his voice for Man O'War sometimes strikes me as a lark gone boringly wrong (interpret that phrase any way you please ;)).
