They just waived the NDA on this one, any beta testers out there?  I was lucky enough to snag a beta spot, and the game is a real treat.  Nice atmosphere and the graphics are sharp.  It's a quasi-Diablo dungeon crawl, in a 3D 3rd person view (I guess that's redundant!).  You can also play it like a FPS, which works nice for marksmen.  I personally liked equipping my marksmen with twin SMGs and running around in 3rd person blasting zombies and demons on the fly.  The game is real time and some of the enemies shoot back.  There's a good variety of character classes and each have their own style of play (I'll do a AD&D and COV comparison).  You have Evokers (mages or dominators), summoners (mastermind COV), marksmen (ranger or blaster), engineers (mastermind/blaster), blademaster (fighter or scrapper) and then the tanks of the game Guardians (think Paladin). I really focused on the blademaster and marksmen.  The missions are fun although nothing earth shattering.  I do like that early mission where you had to kill some demon to find a kids prosthetic leg.  I liked the premise, and I thought there was plenty of cool swag to find.  Overall, if you like dungeon crawlers, and are interested in a combination of Diablo/COH/Doom gameplay elements set in a post-apocalyptic Zombie infested London, this is worth a go.

I hope you find this one as addictive as I do.  I think I'm hooked on Hellgate for now.  It's not much of a multiplayer experience, but I have to admit, I'm a bit of a loner in most MMORPGs.  I just started to figure out the whole crafting part--didn't pay much attention to it until now.  Now I'm dismantling all of the loot in the field and not wasting my time with the merchants.

I heard this game has no fees, similar to GW. Is that true? I can only afford to play one paying game these days and that honour goes to COH.

No fees for basic access, but subscribers get access to new content.  There's no fees to just play the game single or multiplayer, but I guess you'll eventually run out of stuff to do if you don't subscribe.

currently stuck in the british museam with my new evoker, dont do enough damage to beat the boss before he decides to regenerate -_- I suppose I could just drop the bomb and run but then thats a boss left undefeated :O

on subscription, once i've completed the game, if i'm still really into it, i'll lok at it, right now tho the only advantage would be more character slots, but i'm gonna delete my 2 other characters now i've got a grasp on the game so I dont really need that, and I can alwatys play single player with infinite character slots
