Help with A knifefx

Hey folks I am trying to create a knife throwing fx using the batrang fx.  However I'm have an issues with the textures. I have the image I want to use but I can't get it to show up or convert to DDS.  If anyone would be willing to help me out I would appreciate it much.

I can make a spinning knife fx for you if you like, just tell me which character mesh is the fx 4

What do you mean by character mesh thor?  I'm making this for my original character Guardian Angel.
: is the image of the knife I want.
I am use the vx_Archangel mesh with some tweaked keys.
