Some might know, my favorite band is Yello.  Has been forever.  This eventually leads me to searching for stuff on You Tube (though admittedly the best stuff is found on Dieter Meier's own website).  In any case I found this little gem:  http://youtube.com/watch?v=p0BSbPUWaEY

GG's drummer thread made me remember it.  I did martial arts for a lot of years, and can pretty much put my first where I want it to go, but this guy's precision amazes me.  Yes, boxing and music can mix.

Very cool.

No coincidence, at our kung fu school we train with drumming exercises.  My sifu is also a music teacher and a while back we developed a system for increasing hand speed, while (more importantly) being able to measure the increase.  The best way to measure was beats per minute so we took the basic drum exercises and performed them with punches.

I checked out some of his other videos and found them kinda facinating.  He does it so apparenlty effortlessly, there's almost something zen about it.
