hello, just looking for help on the avengers mod, it looks really sweet, but i can't get it working.  Every time i try and change the target for the shortcut, i get an error.  The error tells me that what i put in the target box is invalid.  i don't get this because i followed the readme, eventhough its confusing.  Well any help is appreciated, thanks

It sounds like the Target field for the mod's icon needs some tweaking. You may find some info in the Game FAQ useful for setting it up.

If that doesn't help, then we need a little more info about your specific situation. Open the Properties for the icon that works to start the normal game and copy the whole contents of the Target field to a post here. Then open the Properties for the Avengers icon and do the same thing. With that, someone here can probably get you up and running.

Alright that helps alot thanks, figured it out with that help, you rock

alright i thought it would work cause the shortcut worked but the campaign is the same as the regular game, what did i do wrong.

Are the characters the same or are they Avengers characters? I actually don't remember the details of the Avengers mod, but some mods are known as conversion mods, where the basic campaign plotline is the same as the base game's campaign, but the characters are different. Someone else will have to comment on whether the Avengers (Avengers Special v3?) is a conversion mod or not. I actually thought it was not a conversion mod...

If the characters are the same as the main FF campaign's (e.g. Minute Man in the first mission), then there is still something to be done with the shortcut. Go ahead and post the info I mentioned last time from the Properties page of your shortcuts and we'll go from there.

this is what i put in the target, "C:\Program Files\Irrational Games\Freedom Force\fforce.exe" -game avengers-log i thought that is how you do it, but it just plays the regular game with the regular characters

I think there needs to be a space between avengers and -log.

As it is right now its looking for a mod folder called "avengers-log" and when it cant find it its reverting to the default game.

yeah i saw that when i looked at it, with the space it now works thanks
