What do you think about Trinity?

AncientSpirit

I was prepared to love it since I've really enjoyed the Superman/Batman book, and the idea of adding Wonder Woman to the mix seemed great.

Is it just me or did DC fumble the ball here?   Instead of getting solid stories, this series gives you a few pages on the "main" story and a background story that's supposed to work with the main storyline.

It's left me feeling like its a gimmick book to rake in some cash.   But I'm curious if anyone is getting something more out this book that I'm missing.

Silver Shocker

You're not alone AS, I had a similar reaction with Trinity. I tried out the first two issues, liked the first for the most part, and wasn't as interested after the second, and passed on the latest issues. There are things I like about it though, such as the guest appearances by Justice League characters, but somehow the book didn't really grip me. I would be willing to give it another try somewhere down the line though.

I love Trinity. Carrie Ann Moss is a kicking gal.

Oh. Wait, you mean the new comic. Didn't read it yet.

Mowgli

The first one was much better. I picked up this expecting some great Matt Wagner work, and had to look at Mark Bagely's drawing. I got a slight headache and dropped the comic. I'm better now though.

Anyway, try out the first Trinity by Matt Wagner. Pretty good stuff. Wagner's drawing are more simple looking at first, but he's one hell of a (visual) story teller, and a good writer to boot.

Of course its a gimmick book. However, it appears to work better than countdown, and I brought all of that (Though still not as good as 52) so I'll give it a few more weeks.

I sort of feel they could have just had this in the main JLA book though. It's sort of a JLA story.
