the diamond still needs a highlight, if that's what seems off about it.

as for the feet...I tried a normal boot, but it just wasn't working for me.  At first, the..."sort-of-shoe-things" looked a bit odd to me too, because it made the hands seem empty. But (although you can't see it in the screenshot too well) he now has pieces of armor on his hands as well, forming "knuckles" of the sorts.

I really like this design, and I echo Unko's statement about the choice of hair, it's really spot on. I do, however, think you should try adding some more details to the chest, it looks too simplistic compared to the boots and gloves.


Oh, and FYI, I think the design you were referring to was actually at the top of the page you previewed, rather then a few pages back.

Oh! Tomato's comment about the chest looking plain clued me in!

You see how the gloves and boots have a sort of "boarder" before the shape? Does this actually explain it? Anyhow, you could easily add a boarder to the chest piece, as well. That would really tie it together.

Also, with the hands, and seeing all angles... the sort of shoes are growing on me. Crazy random armour pieces just take a bit for me to get used to. Especially when you consider my super simple designs.

Man, I STILL haven't seen a hero file. Seriously. The world needs it. The not even close to ever being done and really not garning that much interest FFvsTR conversion mod needs it.

k, so here's what's going on right at the moment...

I'm going to finish off TUE's re-design, I'm going to skin XL8er's avatar so he can get his submission in for the FR mod, and then...after that, I'm going to be taking a break from making Freedom Force skins because I've found an opportunity to take things to the next level and develop my talents further, in a different kind of game.

And boy, let me tell you this...when I come back, I doubt I'll be using base skins.  :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

I'm likin' the texturing on your Batman P'; the only problem I can see is where the top & bottom parts line up, the inner parts don't line up & the shading is way off (the top part has an outer shading while the bottom has an inner). Other than that I like the way it is coming along  ^_^

I'm pretty sure belt would cover that no problem. He does have a belt in the new movie, I'm pretty sure.

Correct, I have simply yet to skope on the belt I've chosen.  It should cover it nicely though, and the shading on the lower parts is still not quite finished yet...the majority of the leg armor hasn't been detailed/properly shaded yet.  ^_^

I'm so glad you've decided to skin more Pwime. That Batman skin is impressive. One question though, is the Predator skin in your first post entirely scrapped because I was really itching to use that one.

Back when I made the predator skin, I was extremely reliant on bases...Batman here is worked from the ground up (aside from the strangefate base underneath ALL the armor that you can barely see anymore, because I wasn't sure how much would be covered up)...and as a result, I kind of lost the motivation because I found myself constantly displeased with it or stressing when something didnt work (i had a few problems with the model itself, too).  So...i kind of scrapped it...but I think i still have the files around on my computer somewhere.  I don't know, maybe I'll take another crack at it after TDK

In the meantime:



I think the belt works pretty nicely. =)  All I have left is:  the belt, cape, cowl, and a refl layer.
