OOC:  LOL, we'll, I'm an unarmed elf, and there is a perfectly good Ogre standing right there, just being pragmatic ;)

konbiz

"Ahhh don't ye know that's noway to treat a dwarf!"

Shahzir intended to thrust his elbow into the rather large mans stomach, but due to his small stature his elbow smashes his groin instead. Shahzir swiftly turns around and casts "Scorching ray".

"And don't ye ever try and touch me beard!"

BentonGrey

Dakkon flashes Anya a smile, and mouths 'see'...

Panther_Gunn

(ooc:  I assume this has all taken place prior to Og's supposed movement into the room, and is still standing near Shahzir (since nobody actually explained the silent words to him yet).)

Quote from: BentonGrey on March 01, 2007, 08:28:40 AM"Og, see to that creature, or there will be no pants."
Quote from: Gremlin on March 01, 2007, 08:45:09 AMYou notice the strange thing gripping his head is a sort of obese figure with a thin stream of dried blood coming down its head.  It lets out a roar and plunges its claws into Shahzir's shoulder.

Following the elf's pointing finger, Og turns around & takes in the situation.

"You not sleep!  You faking!  You not hurt dwarf!"

Not really having the room to deploy a polearm, Og will grab hold of the thing's head with one hand & violently disconnect it from the rest of the body (or, if the head doesn't quite seem the right size to palm, he'll employ more tratditional pummeling techniques....his closed fist in a powerful punch).

Lord Elcorion

OOG: sorry for not replying the last couple days, i've been busy running errands and stuff at home, and then got knocked on my [expletive deleted] with a really painful facial infection..

IG: when i notice the thing that has the dwarf, i'll hit it with an eldritch blast

Gremlin

The guard seems unhurt by the dwarf's thrust to it's pelvis, but Og ripping off it's head seems to have irked it some.  It snaps angrily at the ogre, but not sound escapes its once-growling lips.

Suddenly, you all start to hear some strange clanking noises beyond the other door.  It's not metal, but you're not sure what it is.

Panther_Gunn

Reacting only in the moment (because Og hasn't quite registered that a disconnected head *shouldn't* be snapping at him yet):

"Ow.  Bitey thing try to hurt Og."  He then proceeds to smash the head between his hand and the wall.  Once Og is satisfied that it won't try biting at him anymore (possibly by dropping it to the ground & stomping it to a pulp a few times), he will turn back to the rest of the body, ready to apply a more hands-on approach if the two spell-slingers don't seem to be making any progress.

Gremlin

You know, oddly enough, the body stopped moving when the head got torn off.  Funny how that works, huh? :P

Glitch Girl

QuoteDakkon flashes Anya a smile, and mouths 'see'...

Her eyes narrow in a bit of a frown.

QuoteSuddenly, you all start to hear some strange clanking noises beyond the other door.  It's not metal, but you're not sure what it is.

"Think they heard us?" I murmur rhetorically.

Okay quick question: are the hinges on this side of the door or not?  I want to hide myself on the edge of the door frame to tag whoever or whatever comes in, but I don't want the door to slam into me when it opens.

BentonGrey

OOC:  Haha, this was a great idea Grem!

A smile played at the edges of Dakkons, although he had the better sense to restrain his mirth, considering the young woman still held her blade.  Seeing that the immediate danger seemed to have passed, he nodded in agreement with Anya's muttered statement.  "It's certain that someone knows we are free," he whispered, compelled to maintain the momentary silence, although he could hardly see the need for stealth anymore.  Once again he gestured to the door.  "The spell to revive the guard came from above, so we have a choice between certain danger and unknown horror," he declared, turning towards the others, still gathered around the crumpled corpse of the reanimated guard.

konbiz

OOG: which way is my familiar?

"Aye whichever way we take me laddos, I can cast "grease" on the other entrance, a wee bit, to prevent us from being followed as easily"

Shahzir kicks the twice dead guard just to make sure he is actually dead this time.

"Aye, as a wee lad I be always told ladies first, but I was also told that incase I be imprisoned under mysterious circumstances with a bunch o' strangers and are aboot to enter unavoidable danger, then the ogre always goes first"

BentonGrey

OOC:  LOL....haha, Konbiz, I never knew you had this great of a wit, you and PG have got me rolling!

Panther_Gunn

Quote from: konbiz on March 02, 2007, 10:50:45 AM"Aye, as a wee lad I be always told ladies first, but I was also told that incase I be imprisoned under mysterious circumstances with a bunch o' strangers and are aboot to enter unavoidable danger, then the ogre always goes first"

Og scratches his head.   Then his eyes narrow a bit in the dwarf's direction.

"You make fun of Og?  Og find out you make fun of him, Og not like."

To the pale elf:

"You shaman elf?  Dwarf hurtie.  You fix dwarf.  Maybe bitey thing hurt dwarf head, make him say things.  You fix."

Og will return his attention (such as it is) back towards the room, and carefully move into it (because negotiating human-sized doors is always *so* much fun), positioning himself either at the base of the stairs, or at the door (whichever seems to not be covered by the other two).  And wait.

Lord Elcorion

i'm manuevering to find a spot where i can covor the most area with my eldritch blasts, focusing on keeping line of sight with at least two entrances, and all three if possible.

Reepicheep

Orloid will be trying to find some sort of cover if there is any, where he can heal the group from any forthcoming violence.

Gremlin

The inexplicable clattering noise is growing.  Not really louder, it just seems like more and more of it is happening.  It's gathering at the door, which does indeed open outwards, towards you, with the hinges on your side.  Along with the the clattering now is a kind of grating or scratching.

BentonGrey

"What manner of sorcery is this?" Dakkon hissed between his teeth, his eyes on the door.....

Gremlin

As you wait anxiously, the scratching intensifies with the clanking, before it suddenly stops.  You hear a click, then a creak as the door opens slowly.

At least a dozen yellowing skeletons lumber out of the door towards you.

Reepicheep

Its an oppertunity he, a cleric, simply cannot miss. He will use his magic to turn the undead.

((OOG: What powers does Orloid possess for this sort of situation? I understand clerics are made to dominate the undead, but could you list any or all of the magics he would have at this moment?))

BentonGrey

konbiz

"This be it me laddos, die or do, le's make this wee predicament a wee bit more fair.."

Shahzir attempts to cast "grease" below the skeletons feet.

"I mus' say these skele's are looking a wee bit annorexic, me thinks they've been seeing too many of these wee skinny super model skeletons, aye it be a poor thing teh see. What be more of a shame is that they be unable to grow facial hair."

Shahzir strokes his beard affectionately.

"Now it be time for the cleric to work his magic...... literally"

Glitch Girl

Reep, it kinda depends on your diety, but most clerics get turn undead (up to 7 hit dice of undead for an 8th level cleric) and some form of healing.  For example, if you worship a god of Protection, you can grant a protective ward once per day, or if you worshiped a god of strength, you might be granted exceptional strenght for one action once per day.  I'm getting these examples from the 3.0 Players Handbook, page 162-5 if you can lay our hands on a copy online. I think some affiliate of WotC had a PDF Copy up for while but can't remember where.

"More dead things," I grimace, "I hope we don't join them anytime soon."  It's hard to go for the soft spot when all ths soft spots rotted away years ago, but Anya readies herself none the less.

OOG: About half of that meant anything rational to me, but it makes sense. I'll have to sort out the deity thing.

In this case, I'll keep to my earlier post and turn undead. (not me - them)

Glitch Girl

Oops, sorry, geeked out for a minute.  On the turning thing: basically all that means is that the more experienced your cleric character is, the more undead thigns he can tell to go away or even turn to dust if he's really experienced.  "Hit Dice" is just a way of determining how powerful and how many undead you can turn (it has to do with how many dice are rolled to detemine the enemies health)

konbiz

OOG: Just thought it would be good to tell you all the Gremlin told me we started out at level 8

Lord Elcorion

i'll hold my action until grem resolves reeps turning attempt, then if any skeletons are still standing, i'll zap 'em ((i THINK i have eldritch chain, but those notes are at home and i am not.. if i do, i'll use that as appropriate to take out 2 skeletons at a time.))

BentonGrey

OOC: Dakkon is going to wait until the wizards and priests are done slinging spells, if there are any skeletons left standing, he'll wade in, just trying to literally tear them to pieces.  If any dismembered limbs happen to come his way, he'll wield them like a club....what?  It's better than bare hands ;)

Glitch Girl

OOG:
QuoteIt's better than bear hands
And here I thought Dakkon was an Elf.  Who knew?  ;)

Lord Elcorion

OOG: he is an elf. an elf were-bear.  :P

BentonGrey

OOC:  Whoops!  Haha, that might actually be sorta' useful. ^_^
