"Magicians!" Dakkon grited out between clenched teeth, "we need magic where steel fails!"

Glitch Girl

"Or at least divine intervention," adds Anya, amazed at how limber that suit of armor is for something so bulky.

Off topic: In a Ravenloft game here, a bunch of high level characters incountered Strahd, and one of them had a Bag of Tricks and wanted to try to shove a ferret down the empty armor just so the rodent could use him as a habitrail. The GM didn't let him do it, but the mental image sustained us for quite some time.

"Aye ye fiend why don't ye pick on someone your own size!"

Shahzir casts enlarge person on Og. (Hopefully his proportionately stronger self will help out some).

"An' you know what they say laddos, the bigger they be, the harder they fall!"

Shahzir also casts grease under the golum's feet.

Lord Elcorion

recovering from a brief moment of shock brought on by the sheer power of this new threat, i narrow my eyes, eldrich light flareing out as i take aim and fire off another blast of eldritch energy. "damn this dungeon of freaks and horrors! i swear i shall blast the walls to dust to be free!"

OOG:

Totally out of game, I'm just sayin' that looks very terribly fun. Wish I was fast enough to have joined in. Have fun, guys. :)

Gremlin

Og suddenly finds himself much larger than he last remembered.  Now a head taller than the metal creature itself, the armor raises his arm again, this time a loud clicking audible from it...but the grease on the floor is too much.  Unable to stand without friction, the monster topples, its sword clattering out of its fist.

The beam of mystic energy that the warlock hurls off tears a tiny chunk of semi-rusted armor from the monster's abdomen.  It isn't large--at most a few inches--but you can all clearly see a solid dull metal behind it.

BentonGrey

OOC:  Does it look to Dakkon like this should be any more damage-able by blades than the outer layer?  If so, he'll lay to, if not, then he'll try and keep it distracted until the mages can mount some more magical attacks.

Panther_Gunn

"ooh, now Og bigger than stupid ogres!  Og hold metal-man down while little people beat him."

Og will take a standing position over the creature, holding onto one or both forearms, in an attempt to keep it from getting it's balance & rising.

Gremlin

Og tries to stand over the creature, but slips and winds up sitting on it instead.

The monster is heavy, but it appears that the monster's arms can't push mega-Og's out of the way, and its efforts to flip him off are fruitless.

Dakkon:
Whatever's behind looks metallic, but a different kind of metal than the armor.  You're not sure if it's another layer or what.
ooc:  I was afraid of that.

"whoops!  ow."  Og looks around at his new position.  "ok, Og keep metal-man down like this."

Og will try to improve his position by rolling over into a pin position, with his body across the metal torso, hopefully with the creature's arms in the "up" position.

Glitch Girl

"Hey, can any of you spellcasters turn the ground to mud and hard again? We might be ablet o trap this thing!"

Gremlin

Og is successfully able to keep the armor pinned, with a bit of struggling.

Og:
The arms are noticeably weaker and lighter than the rest of the body, which is especially apparent when it can't stand firmly.
"sorry, that's not on my list of tricks" i'll take aim and try to blast the spot that i exposed before, provided that Og isn't covering the hole, hopeing that the under layer may be more vulnerable or possibly be tied to this things ability to function.

Gremlin

Your energy blast knocks off some more of the outer plating, revealing what looks like solid iron beneath.  You aren't sure if you were able to damage the metal beneath, however.

Glitch Girl

Is there a seam between the helmet and the shoulders?  If so and if there's room, I take the short sword I have in both hands, point down, and bring it down hard on that seam, hoping it's enough of a weak point to break through.

"i don't think that's gonna do much.. he seems to just be metal ontop of more metal! it might be wise to try and withdraw and regroup!"

BentonGrey

"Aye, I think this monster is beyond us, but what lies beyond the door he entered from?"  Dakkon spoke ruefully.

Panther_Gunn

  "ummmm......you want Og move?  Metal man get back up.  Maybe Og hold him and little people go look at room.  Og not want stay here all time, though."

"NO! Oh sorry, Um... I mean that's probably not a good idea Og right now."

Quote"Metal man get back up.  Maybe Og hold him and little people go look at room.  Og not want stay here all time, though."

"He's got a point.  We know what's back that way, but through there?" she indicates the way the big metal guy came through and lets the question hang in the air.

Lord Elcorion

"lets move, the longer we stay here, the worse our chances.. but Og is the only thing keeping the metal beast from following us"

Glitch Girl

"Okay..."

I let the sorceress go first though.  ;)

Lord Elcorion

i move through the doorway the metal beast came through.

Glitch Girl

oog:sigh, I think we lost our gm again.

OOG: If we don't hear from Gremlin soon, would anyone mind if I took over the game?  I don't know what he had in mind, but I think I might be able to come up with a plot on the fly.

OOG: That's cool with me, I just wanna get out of this dungeon  :P

Glitch Girl

Well, Gremlin hasn't logged in since May 27, 2007, 01:14:58 AM, but I'm sending a PM anyway.  If I don't hear anything by Friday, I'll see what I can come up with for monday.

Panther_Gunn

oog:  Will Og get to be any less confused?  :P
