hey i've been trying to find great cooperative games for gamecube or xbox so list cooperative games here yo

I believe there are quite a few out there, but I'll limit myself to those I actually own (on Xbox).

-Freedom Fighters
The Soviets control New York, you are a part of the resistance movement. Squad-based Strategy that is easy for even a novice to pick up. 1-4 players.

-Lego Star Wars (I only have the first, so far)
Play through Eps 1-3 as various LEGO characters. Better than the movies it's based on (that's not saying much). 1-2 players.

-Obscure
Survival horror in a high school. Control 2 of 5 teen cliches to fight off evil and save the day. Haven't played much of this one. 1-2 players.

-Psi Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy
Cool psychic powers and guns. I'm just including this for completeness. Co-op basically consists of one player controlling movement, the other gunplay (if I remember correctly). 1-2 players.

-X-Men Legends 1 & 2
Control a merry band of mutants as you go up against a variety of villains in these Action RPGs. 1-4 players.

Dynasty Warriors were a good one - quite a few in this series of games

Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance I-II

Champions of Norrath I & II

Off the top of my head these are the games which me and my friend had great fun in completing cooperatively.

Yeah, my bad. Could have sworn it was.

Previsionary

according to the wiki info, the console versions do have multiplay. *shrugs*

As for co-op games...obviously any sports game you may be interested in. :P

and super smash bros for gamecube.

AquaSurfer

i got ssb alrdy

and that would've been cool if freedom fighters were co op

BatWing

teen titans is a pretty good game also

Glitch Girl

Gauntlet Dark Legacy is a fun four player co-op that doesn't require much brain power and has chewed many an evening.

Gauntlet Seven Sorrows is not.  My group was sorely dissapointed in it.

Star Wars Lego II: Original Trilogy is great GREAT fun.  More stuff to do and build and definitely worth your time.

Also, for a little mindless slightly-dated multiplayer on the cheap, see if you can dig up Capcom Classics II (and possibly I, don't have that one though)  There are several old school side scrollers that support 3-4 players like Knights of the Round, King of Dragons, and Captain Commando

Captain Pluto

i think fantastic 4 is good if u like to beat things up

timesplitters games are really fun also

i saw an arcade machine in the excalibur that was set up like that, not sure if it was specifically Capcom classics, but it probably was.

I agree completely with the Gauntlet analysis.  Seven Sorrows was a big letdown

I can't remember which Capcom Classic I have (I'm not at home right now) but it has some great co-op oldies on it such as Altered Beast and all three Golden Axe games.

i've played the origional GA and the one that had the centuaress and such, never seen the other one though, although i've had suspicions that it's a GA one on one fighter game?

All three GA's use the same side-scrolling adventure model.  I'm not aware of any one on one GA fighting game.
