lol great work man

you manage a bowser and your a skinning god

Jakew

I've just been playing with Wiccan and Speed so far ... ultra-slick looking. Great work!

Tomato

Meh, I've been away too long, I need to catch up:

Thor-Awesome. Downloading it now, actually... might even dust off FF2 so I can play around with him.

Powergirl- The face work is awesome. You nailed it.

Supergirl-Meh, in theory I like the idea behind how the face was designed, but for some reason it just doesn't sit right. I think it's the eyes... that blue makeup seems to make them look like they're too small.

And finally... MARIOOOO!!! WOO!!!

AfghanAnt

There may be a Luigi but it is terribly doubtful there will be a Koopa. He's way too advanced and there is nothing like him besides maybe the Teen Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Anyway, I got inspired by some Teen Titans fanart and I went ahead and skoped and skinned Kid Devil. I've got a skope for Miss Martian from a long time ago just still on my hard drive so she might be coming along soon after since her design is so simple. I actually think this skope took longer than the skin.

Mystik

Thank you, you just crossed off another character I needed 4 my project

detourne_me

Yowza's!  great skin!
he's even got the little batwings too!  excellent!

Tomato

Niiiice. Now get back to work on Mario, slacker!

Kidding. Love the Colors used for the red, though I think you overdid the highlights on the pants... They're a bit too strong, just blend them a bit more and it'll be perfect

Podmark

Great work on Kid-Devil, AA. But I'm not sold on his face. That's really not an Eddie face. Eddie is a combination of enthusiasm and inexperience. Also I'm sure someone (Tommy or TJ) has meshed torn pants so that might be something to look into. Also is there a way you could get him normal feet? Are the horns skinned? They look pure black and I think Eddie' were red.

Anyway all that aside I really love the skope/skin and look forward to Miss Martian!

Did you use Jean_Grey_v2 on the supergirl?

Yes and no, it's a skoped mesh. It's a composite of Jean Grey's bones (so it would work with IPS' Phoenix or Rogue keyframes) and hair, while the body comes from female_teen_basic and SupermanV2's cape by Ink. Also for her omegahedron, I'm using Ren's T-sphere from his modern Mr. Terrfic mesh.

From the images I saw they were black (and they are skinned, maybe I should intensify the highlights (I can see them though). I'm actually considering doing a mouth open/grin thing
Here are two of the reference images I used:

The pants seems skintight and he has forked feet like Nightcrawler.

I agree with you Tomato, I just might go back and reskin the pants completely though, I just grab an old pair I skinned for Ares.

Podmark

Hmm I stand corrected. Well my memory isn't prefect for all characters :P

AfghanAnt

Argh for those who downloaded my Supergirl redesign you will notice a glowing weird shape well that is suppose to be the Omegahedron but I alpha'ed out the metallic areas. As soon as I get home I'll upload the correct one.

So here is a homage/redesign to Wonder Woman. I took all my favorite parts of her various costume and complied something I'm really happy with. The skirt had some major distortion issues but I really made her for playing with not staring at in charactertool. I'm still undecided on the hair color though, I wanted to do something that could be used for a movie and more realistic but we'll see. Just don't be surprised if she ends up with dark brown hair like my Superman Returns skin.

Lunarman

Wow that is a beautiful skin!

Here's a tip for the distortion. Open the mesh in nifskope, find the skirt then right click on it. Go to texture then 'edit UV'. You get a little window up showing how the wireframe fits over your skin and you can move the points around to fix any distortion you're having. It should help you :)

yowzas!   and the AAuniverse im building in my mind keeps growing!

Tomato

See, this? THIS is a Wonder Woman.

I wouldn't make the hair brown, if I were you... not unless you had a black backup, anyway. Despite what people think, there ARE black-haired people in the universe, and ly think black looks better then deep-brown.

I would, however, darken it a bit if you do keep it black... it looks kind of grayish, which makes her look old.

Yeah I know what you mean about the brown, it was going to be a deep brown like Linda Carter's hair but I did decide to stick with black and darkened it significantly.

I thought about add a sword and shield but hexing keyframes correctly is out of my realm at the moment.

BentonGrey

That's a ridiculously fantastic skin AA.  I can't wait to see the finished version!

The Pwime

I'm sorry, but...do you have a license to make such awesome skins?

BentonGrey

You know, I've always felt like WW costume should be more like that.  It never made much sense to me for her to have 'underwear' bottoms.  The top of her costume looks like armor, then the bottom would do well to emulate the armor of the ancient world she comes from.  A skirt is close, but I've always wanted to see a costume with the leather strips of Greek and Roman uniforms.........ahh, sorry, I suppose I'm just rambling.  The point is, I think she looks better in a skirt-type costume.  I really love that cloak too!

Monkeyman

That is a simply stunning skin, from its design to its execution.

AfghanAnt

Thanks everyone! I'm really glad you guys like the redesign.

So anyway here is Luigi's face

I'm getting to finishing both him and Mario off. I don't know why but I seem to want to skin things that haven't been skinned before. Like I'm working on skopes for Futurama characters, Powerpuff Girls, and the Outer Scouts of Sailor Moon, but I mean I have half complete skins such as Dark Phoenix from X3, Rocketeer, Madman, and Cable just to name a few.

AfghanAnt

Yup and it is what inspired me to want to skin Fry, Leela and Bender.

Quoted for truth!

AA That Wonder Woman is fantastic!  The design works so well.  I have been brainstorming on an Ultimized Wonder Woman design, she's giving me some trouble b/c I want to integrate all aspects of her and yet, keep a fresh, modern look.

Your design is regal, powerful and still feminine, great job!

I didn't even notice the Kara skins, I love what you did with the faces.  The Superman Returns milieu is looking great.  I like that you referenced the Supergirl movie also, and yet brancheed into a very interesting conflict that the comics explored.  Supergirl's Kryptonian makeup is very different and therefore shocking.  Keep going in that direction with her.  Maybe look into the movie The Cell for some inspiration, I found that it gave me the same visual feeling of xenophobia.  Star Wars has evolved to its own style; it's hard to compete with  that, but it's a great idea to give Supergirl that kind of look and personality to differentiate herself from human beings.  Do you have any plans on.... certain... denizens of the Phantom Zone?...

Also those Mario skins!  Where do you get the energy brother???

Here's another original creation. I've been working on this design for a few years now. Originally she was a nanny, then when I came up with the H.I.V.E. World idea she became one of many organic killer robots designed to eradicate the H.I.V.E. planets. I think S.H.I.V.A. will have a basic form and a ricocheting ball form to show its ability to manipulate its form.

Status Update: I've started work on all of Carey's X-Men (Cable, Sabertooth, Karima, Iceman, Mystique and Lady Mastermind) but I keep getting side tracked. I've got some other skin unfinished as well: Miss Martian, Powerpuff Girls, Outer Senshi (and fxs), Quasar (Phya-Vell), Captain Mar-vell (Mangaverse), X3 Dark Phoenix, and Madman. I really want to finish them all but I really want to finish up my original stuff while I am inspired by them. I think once they are out of my system I will be able to focus on all my open skins.
