Beautiful work lately, as always Car.  I'm interested to see how this newest one turns out.  In the meantime, any progress on Barry and Ray?

Carravaggio

For John Constantine, he asked me about the possibility of an Italian hero, and i felt this design would suit. I'll have to change  the mesh when I get back from out of town, its warping detail too much. Also the hair detail is a placeholder by AA from the original Cap Euro mesh.

Have the nazi skins been released anywhere Car?
Nope, not yet.

Unfortuantely, no. I'll get on it once i find some motivation to skin some faces.

BentonGrey

That's cool, I'm going to try and use the Christmas break to squeeze in as much content as possible, and maybe release after the New Year, but there isn't really a hurry. :D

What I'm really excited about is getting my hands on those Nazi skins.  I may have to skip ahead through half the Aquaman storyline I've got written to go straight to that idea I mentioned to you.   ^_^

Dr.Volt

Great costume!  Even better face work.  Excellent work here on this Italian hero!

AfghanAnt

I really love this skin and excellent choice of meshes. I've always been fond of that nose.

detourne_me

i'm not much of a fan of nationalistic heroes, but i hope you keep this up,  the faces on these characters are beyond belief,  but the simplicity of the costumes just rocks because of the small details you've put into them, like stuitching and watnot.
i'd love to see a norwegian hero added as well, as the asymmetrical lines may prove a challenge.

jtharris86

Great job Carr... Love the colllection...can't wait to get them all

FAntastic job, CAR! Linear, simple, AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The face is tipycal "Latin". Good Job!!!

Glad you like it, JC. I think I'll keep the mesh, despite the warping, the sculpting of the chest and abdomen is really just unique (look at Cap Euro from the side). Its worth the warping of detail.

Virgin about done, I need to skin the hair then she is good to go. I'm looking forward to checking her out in the RR as she has purely defensive powers. With a range of shields, buffs and heals, she should be a valuable addition to the team.
I need to finish a project or two instead of bouncing from one to another all the time. With the addition of the Italian hero, I'm now thinking of a European Union team with reps from the major European powers. Germany in particular should provide some good fodder for a nationalistic costume. And upon Detourne_me's suggestion I took a look at the flag of Norway, and I've got a few ideas for it...

Projects to finish...in no particular order:
European Union of Heroes
American Trinity
French national team
The Church
The Circus
Nazi Superhumans
Various requests
The black JLA
Villain teams and new thugs

Well looks like I should be busy for the next few months at least

Holy cow! Your plate IS full!  Great stuff all!

And...a Norwegian hero?!  Sweet!  I've always thoguht the flag of Norway was the most attractive of all the flags of Scandinavia.  Oh and I have an idea for this hero's powers and name if you are interested.  Check your PM.

Well, I'll keep checking in as your work progresses.

Love the face work! You really do have a way with colours, every member of the Church is unique.

BentonGrey

Alright!  I can't wait to see what is coming Car!

AfghanAnt

Beautiful rendering of the face, Car.

johncostantine78

Ah, CAr, if you need a translation for the name of Italian heroes, ask to me in every time!

Carravaggio

I'll be sure to do that John, thanks.

Here is an update to The Perfection, the 'Perfect Woman' of the black JLA analog. She become too powerful for her creators to control and broke away from them, becoming a hero of sorts. The full story is below, copied from a few pages back for those hwo missed it the first time around
NEW

And here is a comparison pic to show the progress. I'm pretty happy with my advancement in skinning lately, despite the little time I've had to dedicate to it.
OLD

The Perfection
Hailing from a technologically advanced society hidden in deepest Africa, the Perfection has superior strength, speed and reflexes, as well as durability to high levels of trauma. She also wears a pair of gold braces that are the advanced weapon systems of her culture.

Despite all the advances this hidden culture had made, it possesses one great flaw: it is a heavy Patriarchal society, where women have next to no rights. The men in this society saw women as highly inferior, incapable of any achievement. The ruling men kept all knowledge to themselves, depriving the women of equality. Without access to education and resources women could learn nothing, and so they produced nothing, essentially 'proving' the beliefs of the ruling class.

Frustrated by the lack of ambition and ability in their women, the men of this society went about creating a 'perfect' woman, using their advanced science to grow a real living being. If the plan was successful, if she could prove an equal to the men, more would be produced, and a super race would be born.
Unfortunately for the ruling class, this gal learned fast, real fast. Faster than the men could teach. She was strong and tough, and mastered their martial styles, science and philosophy in a short period of time. Whatever task they set her, she accomplished.
She did this so well the men got nervous. They wondered if she wasn't a little too perfect.
When she discovered why she was created, she went berserk. She laid waste to the culture, defeating their armies single handedly.
Yet when she attempted to empower the women, to give them a say in their lives, the right to make decisions and be citizens, they refused to do so. Years of being downtrodden had convinced them that they were inferior. Disgusted at their beliefs, she left the flawed society to its own problems and set out to explore the world.

Three of the eight JLA members are complete. Aside from lack of time, settling on a single project is my biggest obstacle.
CnC most welcome.

That's a huge upgrade, in term's of the face work. The only thing I could suggest is having the cheek highlights transition a little smoother into her skin. Other then that, it's....dare I say? Perfection! :D

C4

I really like the eyes on that first pic. But I don't understand why it is not coming through on the rest.

djfredski

 Hey man, that look just like a girl i use to date. anyway she look really great.

UnfluffyBunny

jeebus, how big a TGA are you working on to have the face that size @_@

:P

Blkcasanova247

WHAT! Pretty sick skin brother. ;) What "hair" is that?

Lunarman

Well, you picked a very hard mesh. You've got a bit of warping on her breasts which is annoying and for some reason I'm not "feeling" her face. She looks very angry and a bit possessed, which might be what you're going for with all the rings and bracers. If not then I'd just make her look a little happier, maybe more of a smile.

Also, you've got loads of detail in the eyes, as we can see in the close up, but on the model it's being blurred out by the looks of things. Other than that the rest of her costume is perfection :P

AfghanAnt

I love idea and the design and it is a major improvement but about adding some highlights to her lips and toning down the spotted highlights on her cheeks. I think it would give her skin a smoother look and feel.

Also I agree about the base mesh with so many different body that wont warp with the keyframes you chose I would reconsider the mesh.

Dr.Volt

Nice work as always Carr!

Carravaggio

Gravija, a gravity controlling generic villain. I've sketched up a dozen of these sort of guys, perfect for trouncing in the rumble room. While they are a low priority project I liked this design enough to skin it.
Not sure about the hair style tho.
Anyone pick where his name is from?

Close up of the face

modified for short hair

YoungHeros

I think his name is from Final Fantasy VIII

BentonGrey

Hmm, I really like that latest one, Carr.  The purple eyes and Lex Luthor-like smirk are really quite awesome.

catastrophe

this skin is awesome, the costume looks great.

BUT!

im not really digging the hairstyle, i think he would look cooler as just bald

Blkcasanova247

Bald or a very short haircut. ;) Excellent face Carr!

jtharris86

And these are the reasons I am glad you are working on my Avatar. Very nice work Carr!
