Hmmmm...and Atlantian team...now that is interesting!  How would you diversify their powers though?

If I were doing it...maybe they would take on the abilities of different aquatic animals..... amped up. ;) Sorry for the thread jack Carr! :P

Don't want to hi jack this thread any futher....BC, check your PM.  Thanks!

Carravaggio

Glad you guys are running with the atlantean idea...as I really wanted to explore the Indian team idea :P

Blkcasanova247

Team India would be dope as hell. :D I'm glad that'll be on your to do list.

Aly Cat

Cool stuff,Carr; I made a few underwater chars for NPI, back when we had Lemuria rather than Atlantis. I like the way this is coming along;looking forward to the finished project.

AfghanAnt

I really like the look of the Deep. The texture on the skin is really nice.

Carravaggio

Thanks guys :)
John C, an Italian team is in the works, so no doubt I'll be imposing on you for some translating very soon.
As for Team india, i always thought in another world, Dhalsim could have made a great Indian superhero, especially as he was portrayed in the animated Super Streetfighter II movie.

As usual, female skins are giving me a lot of grief. AA, how do you manage them so well? :(

The_Baroness

She looks nice :)

and i do agree with you that Dhalsim could make a great superhero

I think she came out very well actually. She is a member of your French team right, right?

Deaths Jester

Looks pretty good to me...thought the transition from the torso to the legs as well as the connection between both sides of the leg sections is a bit off.  The only other thing that really stands out is the red on the feet doesn't match the color that ye use on the legs.  Besides that it's a good start, mate!

miguelyanke

i think her torso is so dark and it's difficult to determinate her bobs size ^_^, anyway it's cool! ^_^ just fix what DJ said  and it'll be purfect ^_^

Dr.Volt

Yeah, I was going to say that your french heroine looks pretty darn good.  I guess I would agree that her breasts could be more defined (more shading?).  Any how, keep rockin'!

Carravaggio

Something I was playing around with...there's a few projects about the forum involving alternate versions of mainstream heroes, thought I'd give it a go.

jtharris86

Umm..... WOW :eek2:

Love It

Very early look at an Australian hero. I'll probably lose the shoulder guards, I think it makes him look a little too military. the real challenge is to fit the union jack on the costume without making him look like Captain Britain. I know the neck colour doesn't match the rest of the white, it will be addressed.

Blkcasanova247

Very cool...I really dig the design. If you're gonna lose the shoulder guards..I'd probably lose all the iron man armor pieces except for arm guards(those are from Syn's Prometheus right?). The knee pads from VX XmenNorthstar would look pretty cool.

Cyber Burn

Very cool Batman design, is that the Batman_Gren mesh? Also, I'm really liking these international heroes. Very inspiring.

Carravaggio

Yeah it's Cas's skope of Gren's Batman onto Ren's Owlman kfs, an awesome Batman

Funny i was thinking the same thing about the armour...not familiar with vxNorthstars kneepads...(off to check'em out!)

Lunarman

Hmm, I like the armor it takes away from a normal plain body suit and makes him seem more like a modern knight/guardian or something. But if they're too modern or too battle-ly then I guess you have to use them.

Otherwise, very, very nicely done :)

miguelyanke

CAr! very good skin! i love that shoulders and the face s ever your "punto fuerte" (hard point?)

Dr.Volt

Man, Carr, I love the Australian flag emblem!  In fact love the overall design of this guys costume.  I'm wondering also about the hair.  Is longer hair in style?  Or maybe this guy doesn't care...?

Carravaggio

It's never out of style over here...

Blkcasanova247

Now I'm wondering what the rest of the team will look like? Hmmmm...hey how's about a surfer Carr? ;)

Oh goodness I hope not.

In fairness, still about a million times better than having the 90s over again... You know which decade deserves a second chance? The 60s. The music, the style... *nostalgic sigh*

Regarding the skin of the Australian hero: I appreciate that having a Union Jack fits with the Australian flag, I'm just not sure that the flag is totally necessary as a costume component. Either go for a more stylized version of the flag or concentrate on the stars (which are admittedly not that unique as far as superhero costumes go). The armour is a good idea, though, and certainly differentiates him from many of your other skins.

Carravaggio

Funny you mention that flag elements aren't always necessary for a national costume, as this is the first Aussie hero I have actually used the flag on, the rest all have designs using our national colours (green and gold). I shied away from the flag as the red, white and blue colours are shared with too many other nations to be comfortable.
I think the design I used above looks kind of like a T-Shirt design :(

Anyway, some face work.

probably my best face yet, and one of the fastest. I'm getting better... :) Anyone tell who he is based on? I'll give you a hint...the 'model' is English.

UPDATE:

The whole thing probably took about 40 mins all up, and most of that was the hair.

miguelyanke

bat1987

 wow, that`s one of the best face works I`ve ever seen!
