What happens if I do mess with Texas, hmm?  Hmm?

The Outlaw is rather spectacularly (but not surprisingly) first rate, Carravaggio.  I love the design, and the colours, lines, and detailing are as crisp as one of my starched shirts.  Moreover, he vaguely reminds me of a certain someone else who wears a mask, dons a hat, and fancies the dark blue to deep purple spectrum ... ;)

for some reason I'm not feeling Medicine Man's skulls.  They just seem out of place to me.  Most of what I've seen in Native American lore doesn't involve those kind of symbols.  That's more like South American or Polynesian.  Well, just my spare change as always.

And I join AA in asking....sooooooo...when do these get released???      ;)
I hate to say it, but he is right. Being of Mohawk descent myself, I have never seen HUMAN skulls in any rituals or beliefs. Though I think they look really cool....
As for Outlaw, that skope is incredible as is the skin. My only critique is that the blue on the cape doesn't seem to match any of the colors on the costume. Was this intentional or just not finished??

Cyber Burn

I don't think that I can say anything that hasn't been said, so I'll just say "Thank you". Your originals are just so well put together. I am absolutely looking forward to seeing these in - game.

Glad you like it Doc...naturally while i was skinning him, four other Texan heroes were formed in my mind...on the  list they go

Most of your comments echo my thinking. I reckon Ranger here has that old world 'gentle veteran cowboy' thing going on, the soft spoken veteran that everyone heeds. The over-confident personality would suit another of the Texans.
Voicepacks for these guys would be a blast  ^_^

A quick rundown:

Texas Ranger, Leader, Luke Cage level powers, old school vet hero

Lone Star: Female energist and resident flier

Medicine man: martian manhunter/shaman type with a range of versatile powers

Twister: Aerokineticist, natch

Outlaw: Wields haunted pistols of an old west outlaw. They gained sentience in rebellion of all the blood they were forced to spill, and now fight evil, but refuse to kill (so they shoot magic non lethal bullets, ala Tombstone)

One other idea, I've always like the name Yellow Rose (as in the ballad "The Yellow Rose of Texas").  Perhaps she could be a female mentalist/martial artist???  Just a thought.

Carravaggio

A bit of a tweak, the tattered alpha'ed cape.

Billdamn, yeah hadn't changed the colour yet, its actually the same collar and skin as on Texas Ranger

Doc I like the idea, especially after reading a bit into the legend, but at the moment I'm trying to limit teams to five apiece, otherwise my imagination runs rampart and I get sidetracked. After I complete a few other skins I might come back to the Texans and fit another teammate in.
Doesn't help I've already designed a costume for her :P

As for releases, all I can say is 'soon'. Sorry I don't have anything more concrete.

Thanks CB, heck of a compliment :)

In regards to the skulls, theya re the next best thing to a string of rib bones, which was in the original design, but I couldn't find appropriate parts for. Can we just say the skulls carry three powerful and dangerous manitou and MM acts as a type of prison for them,a nd thats why he carries them with him at all times?
Now if he were to be stunned in the rumble room, there is a chance one or more could break free and wreak havoc on both teams...

OTS: I don't know, I've never tried. feel free to though, and let us all know what happens...

Wow........that is an exceptionally cool idea.

First....LOVE the new cape on Outlaw!!!!!!!!

And the skull explanation is a very cool one.  Maybe he has relatives in South America.  ;)

If you ever do decide to do Yellow Rose...I'm sure she will be excellent.  Rock on, my friend!

Skope for another of DJ and my Nazi team.

Podmark

All of these are just too cool. We're lucky to have you around Car.

jtharris86

It's not possible. O your good... too gud

BentonGrey

Hmm, another stinkin' Ratzi!  I can't wait to see this guy, Car!

AfghanAnt

I really like the design of this guy. Very Dark Knight but that's kind of cool especially with the Nazi background. Is he going to have some sort of symbol or will it be the swastik?

Maybe you and DJ should do a groupshot so we can see the team together. I've seen them seperately but it would be cool to see how their designs look together. That is something I've always admired that about basic four-color designs, they can be put together and look like they were designed by the same person but you know you will get something different with each character.

UnkoMan

He's like a midget Batman. Wait, IS that Wolvie's body, or just the boots? There appears to be a bit of foot clippage, so I'd be inclined with the latter. Simple, but effective costume. I don't know about the line in the middle of the glove, though. Perhaps you ought put another on the higher finger joints?

Volsung

You keep cranking those out! Nice work. i especially like the Outlaw.

By the way,
QuoteBut originals is what this game was made for. So lets support them.
Amen, so true!

Monsterman!

At will, government employee Mike Manlin can transform into a massive, super strong, raging superhuman! Unfortunately his wardrobe often fares as poorly as the environment around him. Almost as much money is spent on replacement uniforms as is spent on repairs to property damaged while he is on assignment.

Podmark

I like it. I love that you gave him a costume form too.

Lunarman

Very nice idea, would be interested to see his hero file :)

Carravaggio

The idea is for him to transform from the first (costumed form) into the large form. If he wants to transform back into he human for for any reason, he is changed into the briefs wearing version.

Ditto! And I would also be interested to see him in rumble room :D

herodad1

monster man would look cool with alot of veins showing.kinda like his skin/body has been stretched to the max.

Blkcasanova247

 That's pretty sweet. Maybe give him hair though. Ren's masterful mesh of the Hulk is the awesome...but the head is modeled with the semblence of hair so bald won't work all that well IMO. ;)

Makes sense!  Like this OC concept.  Nice skins as ever!

AfghanAnt

I really like all the shapes of the muscles a lot and I don't mind the head so much. There people with very square heads and besides he's a monster.

The only thing that seemed disjointed to me was you mentioned he destroys a lot of costumes but there is no evidence of that in his trunks.

lol me too. :)

UnkoMan

Oh man... did you know I was thinking about making some character who would go through these three steps just because Ren made that Hulk mesh. You beat me to it, though.

I say... don't get lazy. It wouldn't be too much work to make those shorts look torn. You outta go for it, man.

Anyhow, it does look cool, and I love the strained muscles.

Shazam

Wow, you've come on leaps and bounds carr.
I do sometimes come here to check out the skins, and usually check your thread.
Don't know where you keep getting the ideas from, I dried up ages ago, but maybe, just maybe I'll turn out a skin for you to critique soon.................

YEah I'll skin some shredded edges onto Monsterman's briefs for that torn look. I'll do it..tomorrow-no! The day after tomorrow...
