Hey, I have a humongo favor/challenge for any skinners out there.  I know this is a lot to ask...but would any one be willing to do a skin of a character named Fightin' Canuck?  He is drawn by an artist named Gaston 25 at deviantart.  To my knowledge he has no comic book per se'.  But Gaston has done several drawings.  In fact, Canuck has a growing following on deviantart.  And many people are drawing the character giving him a sort of strange life.  And I thought I would like to see him get life in Freedom Force.

I have gotten permission from Gaston for this.  But I don't know his powers other than that he can fly and he seems to quite a scrapper.  Any one interested???  If not, I will completely understand.  No hard feelings! If you are, could you also suggest a mesh for him?  He does have kind of jagged hair.  Would that require hexing??

Any how, here are some pictures:

And, thanks for any interest you might have.

Carravaggio

that looks relatively easy, i'll have a crack at it. nice work gettong some reference pics, makes it a lot simpler for skinners

Renegade

Regarding the mesh, I could probably tweak my old GL_Kyle or my Invincible mesh to fit.

I'm a sucker for Canadian Flag wearing characters for some weird reason.

Carravaggio

well...i doubt anyone will say no to anything from Renegade, even if its only a small tweak...

Dr.Volt

Outstanding!  Thanks guys!  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Oh, come to think of it, would someone be willing to put together a portrait file for Canuck as well?

Thanks again!!

Dr.Volt

Just as reference:  BUMP!

------>  We now return you to regularly scheduled programming!   :D

Carravaggio

Just about done, needs work on the mask, and transfer to a more appropriate mesh w/hair.
Comments, suggestions? i'll probably do a smiling version as well, just cos he seems like he should be smiling some of the time.

Panther_Gunn

Does he carry around a box of Kraft Dinner to recharge his powers? (ala Popeye or Underdog)

Dr.Volt

Carravaggio, Wow!  Canuck looks GREAT!  Yeah, stills hair...and work on the mask...as you have said.  I really like the idea of having a smiling version.  What about having a snarling-really-ticked off-gritting teeth version (think Wolverine's face half the times in the comics and you'll get the picture)?  Canuck is part scrapper/brawler after all.  If the latter is too much work, don't worry about it.

The rest looks amazing though!  Thanks again!

Hey Panther, LOL and...huh? ....Do Canadians consume vast quantities of mac and cheese?  What about consuming several bottles of La Batt's???  That couldn't hurt his powers, eh???      ;)

Carravaggio

Alright, our friend from the north is done:

also included is an alternate colour version, red on white instead of the other way around.
still to come, smilin' and grimacin' versions, but overall i consider this one put to bed.
C&C, anyone?
I'll upload them both to my Yahoo group sometime tofat, links in my sig.

I think thats a Terrance and Phillip reference from South Park. everywhere those wacky Canadians go they seem to take along an ample supply of Kraft Dinner...
EDIT: both versions are in the Yahoo group, enjoy!

konbiz

and Carravaggio does it again! With his usual quality. Great job.

Renegade

He looks kind of sad, rather than determined, otherwise a fine job. Send me the skin and I'll tweak a better fitting body. PM me for the address.

Dr.Volt

WOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!  Awesome job man!!  I mean really stellar.  I will definitely be looking for it at the Yahoo group soon!!

Many, many thanks!!

Hmmmmmmm...interesting comment from Rev as to looking more sad than determined.  Yeah, guess I can see that.  But I'm WAY happy with the skin.  But thanks for the help also, Rev!

  LOL @ the Kraft dinners ref from South Park.  Well, that figures.  Haven't watched much South Park.  But, very cheeky none the less!

There does seem to be some truth to the joke.  I used to be involved with a lass from up Ontario way, and "Kraft Dinner" came up in conversation more than once.....and while it wasn't as pronounced as Bob & Doug, she *did* say "eh" on occasion.  ;)

detourne_me

i love KD man...  the thing is real KD is too expensive so i always used to get PC deluxe white chedder... yumm.
oh yeah, great skin carravagio!   i need to have a fightin canuck/captain canuck/bertuzzi rumble!
