Tortuga

So that's 1 pm MST -- I should be able to make it.

Whoever's making the room, please post the name, game type and password please.

Do we make characters ahead of time? I can't remember how that all works.

I think thats possible - we cancertainly keep reusing the characters we've made.

My final decision is to play a Chaotic Evil Warlock. We all up for roleplaying it?

Tortuga

k I'll whip up my Dwarf monk then.

I won't be getting xFire -- I've heard it's rife with spyware, etc.

If Xenolith dosn't get back to us/isn't able to host, is anyone else able to give it a try?

I know I'm not. I'm not the msot stable host when it comes to this.

Tortuga

I can give it a shot.  I'll post details in about 30 minutes.

Hmm, we're coming down to the wire....

Agutrot Klyne (human monk - lawful neutral) is ready

I've skipped the tutorial.

Well, Tortuga and I played....what happened to Reep?  It was fun, but it would have been better with more company!

Reepicheep

I did try to get on to the game, but it wouldn't load. I spent the best of half an hour trying it before I gave up.

I think there something wrong on my side. I'll have to look into it before next week.

Glad you two had fun. What level are you both now, just so i can catch up over the week?

Tortuga

Lvl 3... I think.  We finished the first Swamp Ruins mission and are ready to head on down the road on our quest to bring the Shard to Neverwinter.

Lord Elcorion

i'd like to get in on this myself, but mondays and tuesdays are better for me, since i work from 1 to 9 pm Pacific time the rest of the week. i'm playing single player with a CN tiefling warlock right now, but she's at lvl 13 or 14, last i recall, so i'll prolly start a pally ((paladin for those not used to the lingo)) or mabe aim for a duelist or a weapon master for this. btw, going through the tutorial isn't such a bad thing since it gives you the Harvest cup, cure light wounds 2/day, never gets used up, and if you can beat the Melee, you also get the harvest cloak, wich is, if i recall correctly, a +2 charisma bonus.

oh and reep, if you go to the neverwinter vault, they have a couple of good charecter trainer modules that let you lvl your charecters straight up to the lvl you want, no muss no fuss, though i can understand prefering to play through the starting scenarios to lvl up "legit" too.

Okay, I just finished this game.  I put it on the shelf for almost a year to let them work all the bugs out of it, and I still found it VERY buggy.  Still, I really enjoyed playing it, and I actually got sucked into it.  I really enjoyed being able to be lord of the manor, as it were.  Anyroad, did anyone else notice that the voice acting for this game was RIDICULOUSLY uneven?  You had good voice actors for most of your companions and for a few other characters, but randomly, fairly important instances in the game would have voiceover that sounded like it had been done by some pimple-faced geek in his mother's basement.  What's the deal?  I know this is a game of massive scope, but so was Baldur's Gate II, and they still managed to have impeccable voice acting.  On another, related note, did anyone else think that the ending for good characters was a HUMONGOUS letdown?  Speaking of voice acting, the narration for that part was some of the worst in the game.
So, according to this ending, and what I've read about the new expansion, your companions are just left to die under the fortress while your character is spirited away to the new game?  That's a shame, There were a couple of good characters who deserved to join you again in the new game, like Sand, Khelgar, and Neeshka.  However, Grobnar should stay dead and buried........he's just no Deekin!
All in all, this game was pretty great, with lots to do and see, but it seems like they released it before it was really finished.
